The graphics and music make it very relaxing

This game is incredible!

This was super pleasant to play. Very simple (unless I missed some secrets), but the graphics are nice and work well with the sound to make for a very relaxing mood. I didn't find it that fun, but it also wasn't not fun -- I think it's exactly what I needed after the craziness of this weekend.

I think if it were a mobile game with some more features, it could make for a really nice way to kill time on the bus. Thanks for making this.

What an experience, I played it for arguably TOO long.
I had a wonderful time growing flowers, and expressed how having different crops, and ways to interact with them would be so fun.
I could farm like this for hours, and hours, and hours, and hours.
SOLID WORK.
You could try what Knighthousegames had suggested and place the sun on the RMB when you hold it down, that way you can click and plant seeds easier, and immediately equip your sun and start growing!
Thank you for this zen experience, I am legit serious about keeping me up to date on any new developments, because I WANT MORE GARDEN PLZ!

This game is lovely. Took a second to figure out I had to equip/unequip the sun, but once I got that, I enjoyed it. It's a very calming experience.

I played this game for way too long. Very good idea, even better execution. The serenity caught me so offguard. It reminded me of Flower (2009).

This game is lovely & there is so much more you could do with it as well like adding rain clouds, new ground types & rare flowers! Or maybe you have to battle weeds to! ^^

Seeds are basically loot crates.

It's great to have a relaxing game once in a while. Music and visuals are awesome and work perfectly together to build this relaxing mood. I think I filled half the terrain before I stopped. Is there an ending?

I did 3 arcade stressfull games in row for ldjams, i'm pleased to see some cool an relaxing stuff like that. As others, i was a little bit sad when seeds pop out of the screen... My disappointment disappeared when the next flower growed !

I saw your blog post and thought the post was really wholesome so wanted to give your game ago. Turns out you're actually evil and prey on peoples OCD. You think I have self control? There is no way I could leave without fully colouring the whole area. Really wish I read the tips first because I didn't even realize you could upgrade the suns power till much later so I tried to plant grass over the entire map using a very lack luster sun. Never the less the world is now green and beautiful. I tried to make some pictures out of the flowers but the random nature of their growth made it a little difficult. Loved this tho and is my highest rated game thus far, thank you!

Very lovely. The gameplay feels great. I actually would love a smaller map with a couple more things to do. It would add to the relaxing mood just being able to tend to a little garden! But what you have here is very special!

At first I thought "Okay, what do I do? There aren't any instructions." But then I just tried it. I got a lot of enjoyment out of figuring out the mechanics. Every time I figured something out it was an "Oh!" moment where I felt accomplished. I thought after I'd planted all my seeds and grown them that that was it. Then I tried using the arrow keys and it expanded my field of flowers and let me plant more seeds and grow more flowers. This is really relaxing. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not sure what the replay value is since it seems like it goes on endlessly, but I cherish what time I spent with it. I was at first afraid if I didn't go back to my old flowers they might wither and die, but that lack of punishment made me settle down and just enjoy planting flowers. It was really soothing and we honestly need more games like this. The flowers are beautiful. I think you did a great job.

This game is incredibly relaxing and well polished, and probably the best game I've played so far in this Ludum Dare. I think an infinite world would be really cool, then the player could zoom out and see how much they've grown. In addition to that, the ability to save your game would be nice as well, so that way you could continue on your previous work. Great job, the soundtrack really went well with the gameplay!

This is why I love ludum dare! Thank you so much for the experience. The grass and flower growth looked amazing. Great pixel art on the flowers. My only criticism is the grass looks bland, and the tiles were too apparent on the grass, but these are minor nitpicks. Wish I could play this forever. Thanks for sharing!

@Webox The sunflower petals increase the sun's power, allowing you to grow things quicker!

Very relaxing and beautiful. It took me a while to realise I could pick up the seeds - or rather, i was trying to pick them up by clicking on them whilst i still had the sun 'equipped'. The music and visuals work very well together. Fine job :thumbsup:

Nice and relaxing game, I loved the artstyle. If I had to nitpick, it was a little inconvenient to constantly have to unequip the sun to be able to pickup seeds, then switch back to the sun again. A keyboard shortcut would've been great.

This is an original game with a graphism that I really enjoyed and calmed my mind and made me calm and concentrated for a while, great job !

I love the sunflowers in here this pixelart has a lot of style, this would also be a great mobile relaxing game with some changes, do you think on releasing this somewhere or evolve it after the jam?

The mood is right where it should be, loved it. But I thought I had to put more effort than I wished to use the Sun. Maybe if it wasn't necessary to hold left-mouse button... I don't know, just thought I couldn't completely relax while playing.

Wow, this was amazing. Even though there wasn't much of a gameplay loop, per se, I still played it for probably a solid twenty minutes because of how relaxing and calm it was. I love the background track - it's so good, and really makes the mood of the game. The graphics are really complementary as well. I'm a huge fan - you took a simple concept, made it work with the theme, and made a game around it that is super peaceful and honestly a piece of art. Really great work!

A truly serene experience. I found myself anticipating the flowers I would get next, hoping for a sunflower, in much the same way I got excited as a kid with those gumball machine egg toys. Great atmosphere.

The game does not pose the player with significant challenges, yet I played on till the end. Feeding the sun to become more powerful is particularly addictive. I was pleasantly surprised you can actually win the game!

Also, those petal animations are really great -- quality work on those.

Creating a field of life where there was previously none, I love it :) Very calming gameplay and music. Perhaps a bunch of various bugs spawning and interacting among the plants would be a cool addition to the ambience. The sound effects are nice too, very light and smooth which works well with the game. I like the flower growth animations too, they seem very natural. Maybe there could be different sections of the map with somewhat different terrain and where different types of things grow, along with music which matches each area.

The game does whats its meant to really well, it was extremely calm experience, the bloom animation is really good. Music and sounds were on point too. Its a great experience, but that said I did not find a goal in the game apart from covering everyhing in flowers and grass but once I did so, nothing really happened, so everything is great apart from fun

I love this, such a cute and relaxing game, really good for de-stressing haha. The graphics are really good, and the grass growing animation is very satisfying (at least to me). I do wish there was a little more to do, maybe watering as well as the sun, but maybe that would make it too complex for the concept. Overall I really enjoyed this game!
