LDJ Laboratories by Cillibean
Hello, and welcome to LDJ Laboratories. LDJ Laboratories was set up for the sole focus of ending the longest cycle of conflict in the history of life: The war between Bacteria and Viruses! This vicious cycle has gone on and on to no end. UNTIL TODAY! You will use the serum your team has created to take control of individual viruses, infecting bacteria and creating more viruses indefinitely... Unless? To end the cycle of violence, you must merge the viruses and bacteria into one entity. How you do this? It will become apparent after enough time replicating...
NOTES: Tutorial is rather buggy, please follow it step by step, being sure to click the box to continue after you complete every task you are given. In saying that, PLEASE PLAY THE TUTORIAL FIRST.
It's rather buggy, sorry about that!

As you mentioned, I ran into quite a few bugs, some of which ended a run, and some of which were just confusing, like a simultaneous Success/Failure state. In fact, I think a post-jam version of this game would benefit from a lot more information--individual health bars for the bacteria, some sort of outline around your controlled virus, an ever-present count of how many viruses you have left, etc. Maybe even a visual cue if you're working with an evolved virus. I couldn't evolve enough to make it to the end, but I would play the hell out of an extended version of this game, with other varieties of viruses and bacteria. Could be a great educational game, too. Kudos and good work!
