Infinite Cycle by Kirill Nepomnyaschiy

[raw]
made by Kirill Nepomnyaschiy for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

CONTROLS: drag and drop modules | use mouse wheel to zoom and LMB to move camera around

Your goal is to break the loop using various modules. Press compile button to generate modules and deploy them by dragging to the right side of the screen.

The Cycle will try to protect itself by launching defensive systems (red circles). Some of them will try to destroy your modules, others will try to repair cycle structure.

This is very basic prototype, I hope you will find it fun.

Cool concept overall but a little bit underwhelming.

Hey I thought this was a great strategy game. I like how the loop sends out drones to attack you and also repair itself.

Great concept and fun to play, once I'd figured out what was going on.

Awesome concept that fits the theme quite well. the simplistic art also fits quite well. the only thing I am missing is some music or sound effects. Great job!

Great game ! Pretty hard, but fun to play ! The idea of having buildings that repair / boost the closest building is really cool !

Like the concept but I'm not entirely sure what's happening at any given time. A little tutorial or some more info text could help :)

Didn't understand what I was doing untill mid game, with that said, the game is fun, not really challenging when you understand it but cool concept. good job!

I confess I could not figure out what was going on. I just kept dragging things on and hitting compile but I was never clear on what actually dealt damage. I think I understand what's being sought after though.

Ok, great graphics, awesome animation, but I couldn't figure out how to do anything! Like I understand the idea, but it seems way too hard and there's barely any explanation. I absolutely LOVE the art style though!!

Cool game, the graphics work really well. It seemed that the ring was able to repair itself a little to fast at times.

I like the graphic style and also the concept. Could be a cool game, if you put a little bit more work into it.

The artstyle and the concept are cool. I guess that some sound FX could help understand what happens. Some kind of tutorial could be great too.

Quite cool!

Great visual design but a bit obscure mechanically, and very small text (for me).

Great graphics, a bit confusing at first, but it's not too fast paced that we can actually take time to really understand the mechanics.

Cool concept. Loved the arts!

Hard to understand the core (pun intended) mechanics though, leading to playing the game by drag and droping modules. Rules out of the game space or tutorial could be great.

Interesting, this is an original concept for sure. Realisation is well done for this type of game !

I like the concept! I like implementation! However I wish to have levels from easy to hard or some tutorial for better understanding of all the modules. Anyways - very good idea!

Really liked the game, the concept is very cool, but I feel like some music and audio effects would really improve the game feeling, but overall, pretty fun and interesting game!
