Anatomic Mayhem by henrycgs
In the real world, most of our bodily functions happen automatically. We don't need to control our heartbeats, our digestion, or our breathing (most of the time)...
Not in this game!
In this challenging fast-paced game, test your own multitasking and concentration skills by having to controlling up to 9 different organs at the same time in order to keep the human body alive!
Watch out for any mistakes! Skipping a heartbeat, holding your breath for too long, forgetting to digest your food... if you are not careful enough, you might end up dead!

If you're stuck and don't know what to do, please check the "How to play" section on itch.io :)
Post-jam version available! It fixes many issues, improves balancing and adds separate game modes!

However, you should turn Vsync on or place a target frame rate on the game. My fans kept going off and I suspect that its trying to render like 800 fps because unity likes to do that for some reason.

good stuff. Thanks!
Your game is one of those that I would LOVE to see out there in the wild, it's a great game!!!!
GET FUDGED
The graphics were simplistic and awesome (colours and lighting were great), and the actions for the various organs were pretty clever in combination with the controls and what to do :) That's one of my favourite LudumDare entries :)
Could do very very well as a minigame in a bigger game (like.. idk the hacking thing in Bioshock, but this is even more cool!) or as game on the ipad :) (kinda reminded me of spaceteam, check that one out, it's co-op though!)
I imagine this can also be quite fun as a co-op game maybe one of the next jackbox party pack or something ^^
really very well done! I'm very impressed what you managed to do on your own, I cant even think of any improvement (I mean, you can ALWAYS improve stuff ^^) but like there wasn't anything particularly that stood out in a bad way. at first I was like.. man, taking a crap is even more complex than in The Fractued but Whole, buuut then I realized, just in reality, you don't have to do the whole thing at once ^^ so my critique is: add a more profound tutorial for dummies :D
Wait! I had another idea! Instead of a mere highscore-is-the-goal thing you can add specific levels and when you manage to end a level flawlessly you get 3 stars, and there could be specific levels like if it's a person with diabetes you have to inject insulin, or with an old person you have to take extra care of the heart oooor like maybe add a clock and the person has to remember to take medication at a certain time, or can get sick etc :)
all in all, great game! :D
There's not much I could say this needs to improve... Just make more of it! I'd love to see a full game come out of this. Thanks for the submission!
Audio and art are great!
Game play feels really well calibrated. The way it eases you into it works really well and you end up able to handle an amount of chaos that would feel impossible otherwise.
It would have been great to see connections between the organs, timing the digestive system to work together, bad brain increasing heart rate, etc. That is all out of the scope of 72 hours.
Fantastic work!
Absolutely fantastic! 5 Stars from me. Loved everything.
There wasn't a lot of feedback on one of the organs (I think the one that filled the screen with particles?). This seems fixed in the post-jam version.
I had a really hard time physically moving my hand around the keyboard to type and hit Enter and spacebar. It would be better if all the keys that are used were limited to the left side of the keyboard, but that would limit the brain typing to words like "fever" and "xasderew".
I like the simple, arcade feel. Makes it really easy to jump into and play.
**It looks like you've used third-party assets in your game -- specifically, the main backing music track. This is totally fine, however as per the [official rules](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules) you need to OPT OUT of the corresponding (audio) category:**
> You’re free to use 3rd party Artwork/Music/Audio assets, or assets you previously created, but we ask that you **OPT-OUT** of the respected voting categories (Graphics, Audio). You can opt-out of a voting category when you submit your game.
There's actually also a submission checklist that you had to agree to upon submitting a game, which includes opting out of the appropriate categories. We all make mistakes though, so I'm more than happy to give you the benefit of the doubt here ;)
You can and should still opt out of the category now by editing your entry. I've voted you as 1 star in audio in the meantime -- please remove the rating so we're all following the rules! :)
That aside...
I played the compo version! Someone was bound to execute this idea well in this jam. The number of organs to deal with ramped up quite quickly, I feel like there are bound to be players that feel very rushed in trying to learn each of the organs -- learning the first few is trivial, but then it's very difficult to devote enough of your brain to learn each new one while juggling the previous ones. But perhaps you've already addressed that in the post-jam version (?) I can see this mayyyybe (?) working well with a sort of "keep talking and nobody explodes" system where you mix and match different organs to create different difficulty sets.
Anyways, great job :)
But I guess you're right.
