Very cute game. Transitioning to the shop feels a little strange when it's mid run. I feel like waiting for you to fail and then bringing up the shops to buy upgrades to be used in your next run could be better.

Overall it was fun and I enjoyed playing it. :)

Loved the game. Really fun. Graphics are perfect for the style. The abilities you can buy are really handy (even when I always forget to use them). Nice work!

Absolutely loved it! Really hard at first but once the movement is learned it's a ton of fun. I like the weighty feel of the character to control. One comment is possibly reset the height of the mouse each time so that you can last longer and let the player open the store as needed, that way it doesn't kill you as fast.

Took me a minute to figure out the controls, but after that I got sucked in pretty quick trying to keep that guy in the air 😂

I really enjoyed that game! The font effects were really cool. I liked how all of the text was highlighted. Very nice looking.

The left-and-right moving controls felt a bit odd, like maybe too floaty. I did get used to it pretty fast though so maybe that's not a huge problem.

Good game!

Love this game. Play it many times too. I love the shop appearing mid game. I've yet to found a useless ability so thumb up. If there's background music, this is gonna be one of my favorite in the jam

I like it when you fail to catch the mouse at such height then screen goes black, : D D D RIP

This is a very simple game. A very simple neat game. A very simple addicting game.
If there's an upgrade to get less friction when moving, I definitely see want this to it's full potential.

The shop screen looks too chaotic and overwhelming to read properly. It takes a few good seconds to see what you should get. Other than that, it's all good.

PICO-8 doesn't fit it anymore should you want to expand it to its full potential but the execution is wonderful. Great job~
Was getting there to break the seal, alas... ;~;

Simple but fun! I felt like the quickest way to win was to rush for Combo Multiplier and Combo Bonus then save up for 100x, while ignoring every other powerup. I think it would be improved if the difficulty ramped up more, so that it became nearly impossible without powerups.

Cute game. It was fun to play! One thing to improve on might be to make the "shop is coming" text bigger or in the center of the screen, because I thought the game was just lagging.

This game has really satisfying progression - although I avoided taking some of the upgrades and opted to make it harder on myself to save up for score bonuses, I feel like there are a few different strategies a player can take here that would all be viable.
Some of the upgrades seemed like they could make things a little harder if I went too high, like run speed causing me to overshoot my target when I was tapping lightly.
I like the slow start/end of the ninja's run and how the game has a freeze-frame on the moment you hit the mouse.
The lock-on is very satisfying to use, maybe flashing a little too intensely but I am not photosensitive so I wouldn't be able to say for sure.

Fun and addictive game! Comboing was very satisfying. Wish I could unlock the curse but I'm not very good, I could only get to about x60 after several tries.

Music might've been nice!

I'll come back to try again!

Good one, love the PICO-8 and you worked well under its contraints. Upgrades are satisfying.

Biggest problem is that much of your time is spent waiting for the cat to come back down. Takes a very long time at high combo, made me wish there was an upgrade to make it heavier, not lighter. Also, if it lands on you but your not jumping you lose :(

Absolutely delightful. The upgrades didn't really seem needed besides the extra lives, but I had lots of fun saving my precious mouse friend. Great work.

definitely one of my favorites so far. The one thing I would say is you should stop a bit quicker/have better handline

Controls were a little slippery, but that made it part of the challenge. I liked this one, good use of the pico-8!

Very fun game! Controls were a tiny bit floaty but honestly it helped with the overall feel of the game more than it hurt it. Loved the story, graphics, and sound!

This was a lot of fun! I didn't get close to 100 but I played a dozen times or so, it was a lot of fun! I would suggest making the running a lightly tighter, it felt too slippery.

This game is pretty fun. The shop mechanic is pretty cool. It would be cool to add enemies to avoid or something.

Wow! Really nice work for 48 hours on a pico-8. I wasn't able to score the game very highly because it was quite simplistic, but given the platform you used to build it, I think it's actually a pretty great achievement. I particularly liked the hit-stop feedback when bouncing the mouse, and I was engaged in the upgrades enough to restart the game a few times. That said, the skill ceiling was really high at first and very quickly dragged as the mouse bounced so high after every hit. Overall, I had fun with this game. Thanks for the entry :)

I loved this game I definitely played past having enough money to save the mouse. It's super addicting! I will add that it was a bit buggy, especially if you upgrade your jumping.

Hey, finally got around to rating/reviewing! I love how simple and grounded this game is. The art is really quite good for what it is, and reminded me of Balloon Fight for the NES. I liked the simplicity of the audio track, however if you had more time I would have liked some more interesting music choices.

Anyways, fantastic game, I honestly never completed it, mostly because I'd always do something stupid later on, and I'm too cocky to get the extra life upgrade. I would like to see you expand on this idea in the future! So hopefully you do!

The graphics are a little fuzzy, but I think it is supposed to be played on a smaller scale if I'm correct!

I am a fan of the oldie feel of this game! I played til the end not because I felt I had to, but because I wanted to. The shop was a nice touch and really streamlined things. I did find that you didn't really have to purchase any of the upgrades to get to 100 as the only upgrades that make the most difference are the combo ones.

The game was cute and really captured my interest though. I will have to look into Pico-8! I haven't really had any experience with it, but I'm finding I enjoy a lot of the games that come from it.

A lovely gem. Top tier on my list. Still, a physics could be improved. I would like to be able to make the mouse more fat to go for fast paced combos. o/
