Controls hint should just popup automatically, or maybe when you step on the journal?
Anyways, this is a really good entry! The monkies peeing on the fire were funny, too bad we couldn't punch them.
Does the fire ever go out? I couldn't tell if I was doing good or bad, but I got rescued at the end :D
Yes, the fire status (how much combustible left) was on the roadmap, but 30 minutes before the end of submission hour I was still coding the win/lose conditions... so, that important information didn't make it. ^-^;
It should have been there from the beginning though... I'll keep that in mind for the next one.
@pilarius Thanks for your feedback! :)
After the jam, I didn't upload the thumbnails and cover image... and work got in the way. I just uploaded them.
@barrier Thank you playing! :)
Yes, if you don't do anything the fire will die. Every second it loses combustible, and the monkeys reduce it even more.
As I wrote above, I didn't make an indicator showing how much combustible is left in the fire, and that was a big mistake.
As for how to play, that's another mistake because the game doesn't really start until you read the third note. From the beginning I had tooltips appearing above pickup/actionable objects when you approach them... but in the end I didn't show them because I didn't like the font and I wanted people to figure out by themselves. Instead of text, I should make them glow to be noticed.

Note to myself: Don't let the lose condition possible after you won the game... If you get rescued and let the game as is, the fire will die eventually and the "game over" screen will appear. ^o^;
The game itself maybe felt a bit easy as I never really felt that the fire was in danger of going out even thou I felt I wasn't doing so well. Maybe the rate at which the fire goes out could increase the closer you are to be rescued to increase the challenge at the end. Still overall a good job!
