⚔️ Nobody's journey is a game about starting a medieval life as a nobody and build up to ascend. ⚔️

🛡️ Choose carefully between all options each turn, when you have the chance to pick the action of a random drawn card from your deck (when you have one) or activate a card from the world's deck. 🛡️

print1.png

Cards have "revealed", "activated" and "leaving" effects, each indicated by icons on it.

print2.png 🌄 As you progress building up your influence, strength or wealth, you level up the world's deck cards accordingly with more adventures, quests and meaniful choices in every corner. 🌄

🛑 The objective is to reach level 7 and don't fall behind the danger value. The danger level goes up with a variety of cards and when you level up, so be careful. 🛑

Seems like I didn't get to the android version, they are both linked to the same site.
When I get home I'll try to play it through the browser on my laptop:)

Hi, I was waiting this game during ludum dare. I think you got a descend idea and gameplay and its pretty robust. But I think there needs to be more engaging elements to make it fun. I did not even know what I am doing but I won the game. Graphics are super cool and cute, game idea is inovative too I did not expect that

Thanks for the feedback @despdair, we think that too, about the more engaging elements, but some little things and ideas we just couldn'd make it in time. Very glad about the inovation too, much appreciated!
@brallex very sorry for that, the Android download was hidden in the itch.io, but now it's there on the end of the page. Thanks for the heads up :)

@despdair Actually we just noticed the build on the time you player had a bug with the victory verification, that's why it was weird. If you care to try once more, that would be nice too ;)

I'm fond of the way you use cards to represent not just what the player has/can do, but also the general state of the world and other entities, be they enemies or NPCs. Neat game and a solid fit for Android.

@phyro that was quite exciting this time. I think at first time instead of leveling up it triggered victory state. The card variation and objectives are enough and impresive when I think about limit of time. I think you need to improve this game, it can be very good.

Hmm I used the Android version and my game crashed shortly before I won. Frustrating... Generally I like the gameplay and the artstyle. One thing I think you can improve on is to make the choices tougher. Way too often the best choice is very clear.

I was soo close to win on my third attempt x)
You did a fantastic job on this game, the visuals are clean and prof, and the music is such a mood lifter!

In my eyes: you nailed it!

One thing I could mention: I was having some issues with taping on the cards, sometimes it took me around 10 taps for the game to actually do something^^

All and all, very well done my friends!:)

@james-vagabond thank you for the feedback on the game's "lore", it was a neat idea from our game designer and it worked very well.
@despdair We created the card mechanic in a way that it's very easy for anyone on the team to build new cards, that's how we managed to do it in time. I will post about it later.
@ausstein sorry to hear that, the crashing was in some kind of "freeze" or it really closed the game? Do you remember what were you doing at the time?
@brallex We will polish it after this month and input is clearly something to work on. Thank you very much!
@emma-b We did it in a way that it's very easy to implement DLCs or Adventure packs, or something along this way. It's added on our board :) Thanks for the compliments!

@phyro it froze. I think i clicked a card, it still played the animations and did the gameplay stuff but then nothing happend anymore. No new cards etc. But i'm not 100% sure if it still played the animations

@ausstein Thanks, I think we've tracked the bug earlier, might be the same one

Nice card game!
I really liked use of the exploration deck which for some reason remind me of the Desolate Card Game (which I really like)!
Excellent graphics, simple, to the point, with no unnecessarily long animations!
A very nice jam game!

Nice game, I liked the variation in the deck and was impressed how much you managed to get done in the game. Awesome!

Super neat game. Familiar aesthetic, but innovative mechanics. It was a little hard to follow at times, but I think I got the hang of it. I won on my first play-through.

@negator2vc Never heard of Desolate, will try it whenever I can. We tried to keep animations simple and as informative as we could!
@cg-fred Many thanks! I will post about how me managed to create this amount of content in our mini-post-mortem, later today.
@mattwagar Thank you! We tried to keep it visually simple so it could be easier to understand, since we knews it would become a little had to follow without an appropriate onboarding/tutorial.

I love a good card game and this is a fresh take. The only real critique I can give is it would be nice to see the cards or some amount of explanation associated with each quest. Or maybe that's there and I just missed it :) Great game either way!

I loved the game a lot, and was going great, but the game didn't transition out of a message properly and is stuck... I was talking to a knight, who was offering me their services. I really enjoyed the game, but unfortunately don't have the time to get back my progress =O

This was a really fun game! I love deckbuilding games in general so this was right up my alley, but it was done quite well, the graphics were perfect and the gameplay was interesting. I do think there could have been more challenges or such, but such is a game jam. I would love to see this expanded upon in the future!

@kushimoto We plan to add some kind of visual feedback characteristic of the quest, or more info if touched in some way. Thanks for the idea and feedback! @justcamh @pestodesign We're looking for the bug and possibly we'll upload a fix today, thanks for the warning! @brokenmirrormedia @guilb Thanks for the compliments! We have other kinds of game modes on the future, such as complete X number of quests to win, or a better narrative along with the quests too. Thank you and we do love deckbuildings as well! :)

Very nice deckbuilder, I love the idea of starting with nothing and building the deck in-game. I also like the level up mechanic, very nicely done!

I am not sure if i understood the game, but i liked it. On the second playthtough i tried to be clever and never ever click on an enemy. I could hold out for quite some time until i lost that way - as well as not using my cards and only picking one of the two top cards. A little bit of a clearer tutorialisation would be nice, other than then the game looks, feels and sounds coherent!

Fun game, a little confusing but seems like it has potential.

I had a great time with the game. I loved the concept of adding cards to your deck being your health but also being another option.

I wasn't quite sure about the reveal and depart effects, sometimes they didn't seem to go off so there must have been some rule I missed.

Beautiful graphics, very juicy, I would put a lot of time into a full mobile release of this.

Really polished entry! This could definetely become a full game with some more work :)

I think you can simplify the game quite a bit without losing its appeal. Just see how much variety you can achieve with one stat and only add more stats when it's really necessary.

Also I didn't quite understand what the monster marker means

Very impressed with this! Amazing level of polish, I enjoyed playing it and stayed until the end.
