About the Game

Long long ago, two little students made a big mistake. They decided to participate in the 2018 summer Ludum Dare, and since then, they got stuck in their houses traumatized about all the things that happened and how quick was all. Now, two years later, a friendo made it on getting them out of their houses, no one knows the secret yet. But few days after coming out, a huge pandemic stroke the world and they had to lock themselves again. In order to keep them alive, that friend proposed to participate again in the incoming Ludum Dare, because it was a good oportunity to fight that trauma, and this is the result of it. After hours fixing infinite bugs and several issues, Stick Ink is released, a game where you control a stickman that his whole existance is fading, and is in your hand to keep it alive. You must fight and think, in order to survive the malicious enemies that are wanting to kick you off the world and to be able to solve the puzzles that will made you complete all the levels. Luckily, the ink gods are smiling to our little character and in the levels there are some divine ink pots that will give you more time after the inevitable death.

The sprite disappearing as you lose ink is a great touch. Delayed jump took a bit to get used to. Couldn't get the door to open on level 1, but level select solved that. Well put together.

The dissapearing sprite was really nice although It did makew it hard to see what you were doing. I really loved the music and the artstyle. However the jumping felt a bit buggy. Overal a great experience

Cool idea. Music is vibrant and fitting the atmosphere. I loved how the character disapppears as it loses ink. But jump and flip animations felt a bit slow, also you can stick to walls if you jump and continue walking towards them. Besides those little issues, great job! I liked it.

The idea is very good. I also like the art style. The controls felt to clunky for me and it was a bit annoying you couldnt run or move faster in any way while the ink was running out.

I like the idea. i had some difficulties with the movement. Jump reacts a little late. But at least a nice little game :)
