i would add more upgrades and guns to spice things up
I felt like the violet takes damage very quickly, so it can be difficult to get rid of an enemy quickly without taking damage. Consider some manner of recovery method, maybe?
A tutorial would've been great.
I liked the twist of protecting something : )
Thanks @bitpokit @zollmaniac @binaryspark @defenestration @play-pause-games for sharing your experience with me! I appreciate that.
@binaryspark it was supposed to be very hard, I mean, with the upgrades you can get your violet to have more HP, I takes damage fast because you know, it's a flower. I will add more powerups (ways to recover HP included) later. Thanks for your feedback! ^^
If one of the head butt zombies reaches the plant it dies so quickly I'm not sure what the point of it having more than 1 health point is.
The controls were very solid though.
[Assuming you played the Ludum Dare version(first one)]
The hitbox was a little different from now, and since the line fades_out slowly, if you miss the shot but the creatures passes through it, you'll have the impression that it hit.
The, as you called, "head butt zombies" kill it quickly because one of the points of the game is to make sure you'll be careful on how far you can go from your Flower.
Thanks for the feedback!
I think a little slower ramp up of difficulty might be better, let the player get into the rhythm of the game before things get too hectic.
It felt wrong to me that the dash was towards the aiming direction rather than along the movement.
For some reason, all screenshot of a normal gameplay look like this.
Is the gameplay broken or just the screenshots?
The pacing was well done, and the enemy variation was good for a jam game. Music also was nice.
Most addictive jam game I've played so far this year so gj!

(Ignore the lag - it's just how OBS recorded it. I haven't tried recording at this resolution before.)
Edit: Overall, screen movement feels very slippery and unpleasant.
I don't have a screen so big soooo I can't test it. This is a very specific problem, maybe if you want, we can get in contact on discord or something so I can fix it. And I would be pretty happy if you could remove the screenshot and the video so people don't think the game is broken on every situation.
PS: I'm not trying to fool people, I'll definitely put a WARNING on my game page so people know it's broken on Wide Screens!
1. Add support for Windowed mode. The general convention is to allow toggling FullScreen/Windowed mode with Alt+Enter. Forcing FullScreen on people is not nice - I've learned it with my game on the previous LD :D
2. Somewhere in the code, you're making assumptions about resolution/aspect ratio/etc. Or maybe Godot does it. Either way, you need to make it dynamic.
But nice graphics and sounds :b
I don't really understand why the gun is unfair, I mean, the bullets come out from it, not the player, also it follows the player very fast. Maybe you just need to get used to it (like almost everything in this game).
Now only dynamically adjust visible area instead of just showing black borders on the sides. And it would be perfect.
The revenge points are a good way to keep the player playing for a little bit, since you can get it easier over time (slowly though)
The violet itself seems to be the biggest obstacle, since it block my shots and it's taking time to go around it and recalibrate my aim yet again
How many enemy types are there?
The game is made to be hardcore, no noobs allowed! And the Violet is meant to be the biggest obstacle for sure, by the way you can pass easily through it by Dashing (Right Mouse Button).
Nonetheless, great entry! Good to play a good old pc-twin-stick-shooter again. Disregarding that I've seen the same theme interpretation like a gazillion times already :) Ours isn't that innovative either.
Loved the pixel art style. One thing I'd say for the menus etc, is to keep it simple, and add a little visual so it's clearer what's clickable.
For example, the buy menu, just put a background behind the buy button, and on the title screen, you have class/wave which launch the game, then what appears to be a non-working play button?
Minor things though. Overall a solid entry!
Thanks for the feedback!
Parabéns pelo jogo!
Não, a música não é de nenhuma banda xD
Pra fazer a musica eu usei o BipBox e o FLStudio.
Obrigado pelo feedback!
It's not that simple and takes some practice. But it's a lot of fun. The waves and weapons are awesome. Conserving ammo is very important and you need to be very aware of your surroundings.
Really great job! Loved every second of it!
P.S. Played the last version. It's much cooler. Enjoyed it a lot.
The game works well and feels polished. Art is very nice and the sfx are fine as well.
Great entry! The graphics are very nice, and the audio is great. The game is pretty fun and fits in with the theme really nicely. Nicely done!
