IngloriousDISCO by AxelOlivier

[raw]
made by AxelOlivier for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Since I'm confined to my home I took the opportunity to make this LudumDare Solo which is first for me ^^. Having a more GameDesign oriented profile, and a level below zero in 2D, I've launched into a full 2D game x) (logic humm... nop). So I present you "IngloriousDisco" as you can imagine and on the theme of disco. You'll help "Francky" to keep pace on the music, while other dancers, jealous of his performance, wil try to disturb him. And so, you'll need your keyboard and to warm up your fingers , be careful, it's going to swing!!! There's a little Tuto in Game with images to help understanding the game's progress, which is not very complicated. Enough chatting, it's up to you, let's play !!! Kiss From France :p Img_01.jpg

That's some tense and innovative game. The music is rad as hell, I'm still dancing. But my keyboarding skills are not that great as I thought. Great job!

Okay, that's a very interesting concept. How did it occur to you to combine dancing and typing? :) Very unusual. I played only at simple mode and it was still difficult to me (or I'm just bad at typing, ha-ha), but I would recommend this game to someone who wants to learn how to type quickly, but to disco music.

I really liked the sound effects :) The concept is cool overall too! I played for a few minutes, and found that the left and right side always alternate? Was I unlucky? Otherwise, it means you could already pre-type the next word :O Good for learning to type quickly indeed ;) well done!

@daria-toni The idea of typing has been on my mind for some time, and for disco it's the gif of the tweet for the theme that helped me x)

@evert For the question of alternation, I didn't have too much time to do tests to manage the timings, I just have to modify this to make it more random ^^

Ha, nice game for a little keyboard work-out before starting actual work :)
Was very pleasant to check it out.

Ah, btw, UI in HTML5 version was slightly cut off.
