Also a nice reference to John Conway's game of life :)","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"joemid","author_uid":"1001158","time":"2020-04-21T20:10:36Z","epoch":1587499836,"modified":1587499836,"text":"Wow- so cool to see that you used the Game of Life pattern. Blue planes work great, but what do I do with red planes? Send them down? Try to send them far? I was a little confused about that, but maybe I missed something. Cool concept and definitely hitting the theme! Looking forward to where this goes next. Thanks for the game!\n\n![burned.jpg](\/\/\/raw\/684\/z\/31ecf.jpg)","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"thesnide","author_uid":"1056426","time":"2020-05-02T18:34:23Z","epoch":1588444463,"modified":1588444463,"text":"I love the Game of Life pattern, it is so appropriate for the theme!\n","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"AFlatThrasher","author_uid":"1039314","time":"2020-05-02T18:41:43Z","epoch":1588444903,"modified":1588444903,"text":"Nice idea and nice implementation. My biggest complaint was the red planes. Given how easily the fire could spread on its own, I rarely wanted to use the red planes. Making them less common or giving you the ability to choose which color would come up next or something like that would have been useful. As it was, I was often just sending half my planes out as hard as I could and desperately hoping to get a blue one. Don't think I didn't have fun, though. Trying to control the game of life with semi-randomly dropping planes on it was definitely entertaining.","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"kjscott","author_uid":"1186023","time":"2020-05-12T19:13:39Z","epoch":1589310819,"modified":1589310819,"text":"Took me a while to figure out the mechanics of the game, plus the whole keep the fire alive but not too great. it's a good interpretation of using Conway's Game of Life. It might have helped with a line showing you where you were going to throw and what the area of effect would be. All the same though, it was pretty decent game.","likes":3,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld46\/199166-fb79a4cd697b0f4f4b3aa6115ec89fe8.png"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/mitschelen.de\/playingwithfire\/","text":"Youtube"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"62895","g_author":"1159573","g_event":"LD46","g_eventkey":"77","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"277612","g_title":"Playing with Fire ","g_status":"PVT1","g_place":"2292","g_commentcount":"7","g_site2_node_id":"199166","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"199166","n_urlkey":"277612","n_parent":"176557","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/46\/playing-with-fire","n_slug":"playing-with-fire","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"jam","n_author":"159573","n_created":"1587328924","n_modified":"1587376752","n_version":"582695","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":199166,"parent":176557,"superparent":9,"author":159573,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"jam","published":"2020-04-20T08:52:38Z","created":"2020-04-19T20:42:04Z","modified":"2020-04-20T09:59:12Z","version":582695,"slug":"playing-with-fire","name":"Playing with Fire ","body":"![logo_500_black.png](\/\/\/raw\/55f\/62\/z\/2d2f9.png)\n\nThis is out game Playing with Fire, and our team's second participation in a jam.
