Developer notes

Another mostly successful Ludum Dare! Wasn't able to finish or polish the game to it's entirety, but at least it works. Can't wait to hear your opinions about it. Ratings on both ludum dare and itch.io pages are greatly appreciated. Thanks for playing!

Post compo changelog

  • Increased the size of smallest enemy because for some people they were impossible to catch.
  • Ported to Windows

Good game. Atmosphere is very chill, relaxing. Gameplay is very responsive and satisfying. Maybe just that the smallest orbs are very hard to hit/see. But as things get bigger its more and more fun.

Pretty much what lil penguin said, it is very hard to hit the other dots. But it is very beautiful and chilly

The minimalistic theme and the mechanics are pretty cool!
Although, I couldn't farm the little dots easily.

Love it simple but progressive. Nice. Agree size starts too small.

The gameplay is really smooth! I like how it's autobalanced, perhaps overly so, but it still did provide an enjoyable experience. And yes the orbs are too small!

The gameplay is so smooth! Absolutely loved it, especially the art style. The targets are indeed a little hard to hit, but I guess that's just the trade-off of the beautiful scene right? 10/10

@martynas Wow - you were right Martynas... it does look very similar to mine... I am a bit envious (in a good way) - you have great aestetics and everything seems design-vise very on purpose ... good job!

Visually striking, and your effects are top notch. Controls feel nice and weighty. Wish the dots were a little easier to collide with, though I eventually learned to approach them from behind.

Nice mechanics and features, I love minimal games and you've done it nicely.

Beautiful game, piano fits perfect.

The problem I had was the dot size, especially if you get knocked down after the screen zooms out. Chasing after the smaller dots becomes less of a reward and more of a chore.

This is one of those games that is great at getting you to explore without really telling you to do it though, it felt organic which was nice.

I was really enjoying it, but I was disappointed when I reached the end. I just didn't want it to stop so soon.

LOVE this, very beautiful!
Really like the black and white aesthetic, I wanted to do something similar but went in another direction.

I love the progression, and the smoothness of movement. The music is nice too. However the introductory white noise sound doesn't loop properly.
The orbs were a bit hard to catch, at first. But once I got used to them it was alright. A minor pet peeve of mine was the sound of collecting them.

The ending was perfect.

Very atmospheric and relaxing game. Despite the minimalistic art style, this game looks stylish and pleasing to the eye. And the overall sound design of this game is very well made, which helps to build the atmosphere. The only complaint i have is the white noise sound - it's a little bit annoying and it seems like you can hear where it loops, but it goes away very quickly so it's not a big deal.

Nice and relaxing, a breath of fresh air to those IO type games with really nice presentation, good job.

Very clean and smooth design here. Before you know it you are dodging for your life. I enjoyed the movement with the mouse when dodging and grabbing the "food".

Smooth visuals. The feedback on movement felt really good and progress was timed really well. Good use of the theme

Heavy agar.io vibes. White noise is soothing in the start but there is a cut in the audio loop that bothers a bit. Music in the end game is pretty nice and adds to the mood a lot. Eating sound could be more rewarding, now it sounds like you are taking damage. It could be more upbeat like the coin sound you hear when you smash green dots.

I felt the controls were solid and mechanics addicting. Not much bad to say about this game. Very solid entry. I like the ending where you become all-consuming black hole. Nice touch!

Well done. I can see this entry going far!

Lovely looks and great gameplay. Music fits the game and you provide feedback everywhere it is required.

When playing in fullscreen and clicking on 2nd monitor I lost ability to dash for some reason, that's the only minor bug I have found.

Solid!
