It was fun deleting all those cat pics. "Task failed successfully" — doublespeak at its finest!

A intresting take on keeping a computer alive. However, I found the instructions kind of lacking a was left watching the whole file system red

To be entirely honest, I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. Looked everywhere for a CAT.COM file, tried deleting as many of the cat pictures as I could (but they just kept reappearing). Love the visual style and general vibe, just can’t figure it out.

Kind of confusing... I found the cam.com file pretty quickly and managed to delete it, then I was kind of baffled on what to do... :P
More stuff to do on the computer would have been awesome!
Nice cat pics though!
Also managed to delete the entire C: directory :D

Great idea! Love the art :D maybe some audio would have complimented the experience. Also a little more guidance on what to do.

Could you implement a mini-game or two, where you have to try and delete a file that moves every time your cursor goes near it or something?

I was struggling to find the cat.com file and I noticed that deleting files would just cause the files to come back anyways. I'm not sure if there's a bug in the game or if that's intentional.

I liked the "Task failed successfully" dialog and I liked the Windows-esque-ish interface, though it's plenty less intuitive ;)

Anyways, yeah, I think there's a bug that's keeping it from being winnable maybe.

I really like the Windows-style interface. :D Reminds me of the good old times. :D Anyway, it would be nice to provide some more hints on what to do.

I don't mind a virus that makes everything a cat picture.

Very fun concept, you reproduced well the old Windows OS. Maybe a meow when the attack begins and some SFX could add more immersion.
I think I will send it to my family to trick them :)

Analysis...

1 - Mechanics, Learning and Flow:
I was really confused trying to understand the proposal.
I managed to enter several folders and everything (but deleting it didn't make any difference, entering again implied the reappearance of all folders).
I noticed that there was a virus transmission footprint or something between infected files.
But it didn't seem to matter, with time everyone got infected, even if I managed to reset the files temporarily (at least that's what I understood was happening).
Learning to navigate was intuitive, because it referred to known operating systems (especially the Windows file system).
The references were funny (including deleting the trash itself).
The game flow was kind of frustrating in my view, as it was not easy to understand what could be done.

2 - Graphics, Audio and Narrative:
The graphics were sufficient to understand the environment, but I lacked visual feedback to understand my objective and the conditions for victory and defeat.
I missed audio (at least typical computer sound effects, or fun reinterpretations, as they did elsewhere).
The narrative was not the focus, despite being the premise of everything that was happening.

3 - Culture:
It talks a lot about the spread of viruses and keeping the operating system "alive" (although it lacks clarity of interactions and objectives).

4 - Monetization:
It requires a lot of polishing, addition of sound effects and greater clarity in the project, so that only after that think about monetization.
