I couldn't clear the second level, the box would either get stuck and cause me to not be able to move, or vanish if I tried to dash. I couldn't figure out how to drop it on the button either. Maybe update the instructions to be more clear how to use the boxes?

Also dashing is kind of weird, since there's no knockback you have to move away to dash again, and it takes multiple hits, so killing enemies feels really weird.

Neat ideas though. I think a bit more polish would go a long way here.

@fireslash Thank you for the feedback! I agree with you, I really wish we had the time to polish it a little more and redo some of the instructions.

Unfortunately I ran into a few bugs that hampered the experience for me a bit, but I did still liked the game. The idea was simple and easy to understand and the graphics and sound effects really sold the weight of what was going on. I'd love to see what you guys could do with a seven day game jam to give you more time for extra polish

I had some problems like : The first time, I didn't kill enemy on first level, I throw him into the void.
But it seem to not clear level. I didn't get the difference between red or green hourglasses. Why use arrow and not wasd for the "book" at the start ? Also, maybe you have to change more like this levels, because at the first attemp, I fall on the right, but get nothing, and the level after, there was something, unless the level where spawn player was more or less the same.
Keep it up, you give us a working game after all, only that is a real success, and you will improve your skill each gamejam

Seems a little bit to chaotic but I like the overall style and dynamic of this game.

I got confused kinda quickly, maybe enlarging the perspective a bit could help.

Sorry, I had absolutely no idea what was going on with this, it seemed really buggy to me.
I found a box a couple of times but it kept disappearing. The only enemies I could see were the hourglasses, but dashing at them did nothing. It seemed like I had a timelimit and the level would reset when it ran out, but levels also reset seemingly at random. I thought I'd have to take the box to the pressure-pad/button-like thing, but that didn't do anything. Sometimes I fell through the floor.
Kinda like the graphics.

That was pretty confusing, there seems to be a lot of mechanics and I struggled to understand what I was supposed to do. I think reducing the scope a bit would have let you refine a bit more the first seconds of play, that are crucial especially for game jam games.
Maybe putting the indications inside the game instead of having a book before playing would help.

It seemed like I could clear the levels just by touching the button, in fact I won the game by jumping on it while holding nothing. I liked the movement though, and perhaps if some of the glitches were fixed it would be fun to walk around and explore more. I think the timer is a little short as well, especially in the level where you jump down; I could hardly get my bearings before I was reset. I actually appreciated the schizophrenic, shaky nature of the game, as it gives it an unique vibe.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I'm pretty happy we got 20 reviews.

I agree with most of the feedback, the game should be more clear, controls could be a little better, and some polish here and there would make a big difference, we will try to do better on the next, as this was our first jam, thank you!
