made by BEK for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

You play as a tank and you have to fight against monsters. What to do which the theme? Well, there are many blocks of walls that make up an inifinity loop which you can not break out of.

This has been my first game jam, and I tried my best to finish and upload it. But because of school I could not work full time on the project, so it definitely needs improvements.

If you have tried it, thank you and could be please give an honest revies or comment of what you think? You can critisize, suggest, or just tell that you have liked/not liked it :) that helps me to decide what I have to do in the next game jams.

Nice game, the bullets accelerating after leaving the barrel - priceless.

The game looks nice, the controls are a bit janky (hard to aim at the enemies while dodging bullets). But a solid foundation to build upon! You might want to look into making a HTML5 web build of the game and hosting it on some website (for example itch.io), as people usually are more willing to try out games directly in the browser instead of downloading and running an .exe file.

For a first game jam, this is impressive, and I understand that you couldn't work on it full time because of school (so did I). Simple interpretation of the theme, yet fun gameplay! Good job!

Pretty simple game but still entertaining, having music and FX would make it a lot better, i feel the bullets a bit too slow and the controls are a bit hard.

Nice game, I liked the graphics and it's well done considering school and what not.

You also made a tank game and I really like your art! The shooting feels a little weird, next time consider making the player's bullets a little faster. Also adding sound effects adds a lot to a game!

Had problems with controls as the tank for some reason tended to teleport about a quarter of its size back every time I moved forwards (maybe a bug). I enjoyed the game and liked the style, but please, make the bullets move faster than tank (it mildly infuriated me when there was a bullet I fired right behind my tank because I like shooting while moving)

Woah! That was actually a pretty good game for your first jam, wow!
The game is small, but fun and feels completed (without the sound I mean). Many people try to create something huge and end up falling short, but you evaluated your time and energy correctly, what is, honestly, a very good thing for this kind of jams.
In terms of brutally honest feedback. I'd say, that the main tank animation seems strange somehow. I don't know, the enemy's animation does not seem to have the same problem. Also, when shooting in movement, bullets seem to spawn a little behind your new position.
Other than that, I honestly can't find a whole lot of things to criticize here.
Great first jam overall and hope to see you in the next Ludum Dare jams!)

Thank you so much @kolkav for telling all them!
I am happy that you could realize that the tank move animation is weird, that is what I realized alos but could not figure out how to solve that(

Most people are telling
1. tank bullets are slow
2. controls are hard
3. make html5 version
and whole other very usefull feedback

I did not even think I would get so much usefull feedback!

I will definitely not try to make those mistakes again in my future projects )

And everybody who decided to try my game and played it, you rock!

wow, that's a nice game =) Hello, fellow tank game builder.
Kind of expected tanks from the cover image, but the graphics was nice as they were.

I personally prefer faster bullets - we usually do that by applying bigger values through RigidBody.AddForce - but for some games authors deliberately prefer slower bullets so player has to shoot where enemies would be. I also liked the way you can hit yourself in the ass with your own bullets, very interesting =) it doesnt hurt you, which is good - I tend to forget to set proper damage logic sometimes.

Bullets also tend to collide each other, believe it or not, we also had the same problem in our game. It was solved by setting collision layers, because otherwise you can't do stuff like miniguns.

Html5 version is really useful, because many people are tired after LD and don't really want to go extra steps of downloading games - we also learned that lesson over time. Just remember that web build should be made early - they tend to have some nasty problems which might not happen in the editor.

Good game!

@a333 WOW thank you so much for you looong feedback

I appeciate it so much that you are sharing the experience you got over time to someone who has game jam for the first time :)

I luv how you explained me how to solve that in unity, you could tell me your youtube channel or whatever to take some help when needed =}

So I will make some bullet points of your feedback ;)

- good graphics
- make bullets faster (which wont't let you shoot your own ass :))
- dont let the bullets collide with each other
- make html5 version, do it early

I will play your game now :)
