There is something deeply satisfying about burning things down. I love the art effects of the burning trees. You make me question my morality, well done.

Now excuse me, need to burn more things.

I liked:
* the challenge to not be able to burn everything right away
* the textures and the darkness
* the always changing map

I didn't like:
* being kind of immortal as a big flame

Liked it super much. The SFX and Music were really good. And to have that constant pressure of enemies hunting you was just awesome. Tho you might make it a bit easier to find the first level of burning stuff. Otherwise really good

When this theme was announced I too thought of keeping a fire alive but wasn't 100% sure how to implement it, and I think this is a great way to do it! I love the vibe and lighting and the stats at the end screen as well :)

Really intuitive game, great design and art. Only thing i would change is the pickups are a little unclear. I found them hard to discern. We done, very well polished game.

Fun idea! I got really frustrated after running into snow and suddenly losing a ton of flame, but it was fun nonetheless!

@vex There actually is a little secret for people with morality issues. Maybe you can figure it out? :)

Oh wow, that is an interesting take. I have seen other keep "the flame/fire alive" entries, but in this one the fire moves and has abilities! :fire:

Things that I really liked: the darkness which works well with the theme and as a mechanic, the fire ability and the fact that it's a sacrifice you do for the sake of living longer, the ambience - mix of tense but also relaxing like watching a crackling fire

As explorer gamer I like the game mechanics but the objectives are not quite clear. You may add some visual suggestions to help the player grow.

I liked the idea, but had big trouble finding anything to collect as a small flame. Once I did find something, it was pretty satisfying to collect stuff.

I was also having some problems with the hit boxes. I was aiming at the torso of the evil snowpeople, but you had to aim at their bottom. Understandable from the code perspective, but not so intuitive.

The lighting and athmospheric music is well-made!

This is realy nice. It reminds me of Tasty Planet, which I like very much. The artstyle is great and at some point it has this satisfying point, where growth seems to accelerate. However, unfortunately this stops at the last stage. It is really hard to burn houses, since you shrink quite fast at that stage. I would rather had grown indefinitely until everything would have been burned and the snowmen would have melted for good ;)
All in all really awesome work :)

I played like 10 minutes and nearly cleared the map. Could put on fire like 5 houses because as soon I reached the others I didn't have enough power to burn them. If you lose power getting to a house and you already burned everything around, you can't burn that house anymore. 10/11 minutes of game. That means you had me hooked. otherwise I would have left before. After a while it become monotonous as You had to just keep the level high enough to burn a house. There was nothing more than that. Anyway, it was really fun to play. Well done!

Great sound effects, Love the ambient in the main screen and the lightning when pressing play, really sets the mood for a creepy dark night. I think there are to few level 1 burnables and at a certin point you are invincible but the game play is very fun and the burning animation and speed boost really make the burring of stuff very satisfying.

Good mood, fits the theme well. Found the game quite difficult, can be hard to tell what you can burn and can't.

Good mood. After multiple runs my best time is 03:12. I've wandered these frozen planes for what feels like ages, keeping that flame alive with tiny leaves or branches that really only last for so long.
It does a good job of capturing the feeling of a dire situation, of holding on to the tiniest thing; a struggle to *keep it alive*.
Good job.

Got 11 houses! I found it pretty hard to get to the first objects (logs) but then it got super fun! Definitely gave me some Katamari vibes but with the twist that the fire gets smaller after time. Well done!
