Chess Mess by Pavel Ivanov
A chess based puzzle game with the goal of KEEPING ALIVE the King!
If you aren't familiar with basic chess movement rules, I advise you search it up, the game doesn't teach you that.
The controls are pretty self explanatory, read the dialog if to understand it if you don't want to figure it out yourself. It's not complicated tho
Used: Unity3D, Blender2.8, Krita, LMMS, Audacity

FOR THOSE WHO SAY THEY CAN'T RUN IT ON LINUX, I HAVE TESTED IT AND IT WORKS. DOWNLOAD THE LINUX ZIP, EXTRACT IT AND RUN THE Linux.x86_64. I AM SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION. IF YOU ARE STILL NOT ABLE TO RUN THE GAME, PLEASE DO NOT RATE MY GAME AS THAT IS UNFAIR.

I haven't been able to try it under linux, the zip seems to only contain library files

Btw I didn't understand the mechanic well. The knights fell sometimes while sometimes they not. I have been playing for a hour but I am not able to figure out the reason yet, which is quiet sad.
I usually try to suggest an improvement in the comments, though no big ones come to mind... the repeating tutorial messages every respawn is a bit tedious. That's the best I got.
Overall, other than respecting the player's time a little better (which wouldn't take much more dev at all) I think this is a pretty solid entry. Commendable work. Thanks for the game!

I wish it was faster though. the theme is calmer than I'd like. IDK even though I like calm games. but I got bored with this one.
it was really annoying when you restart a level you had to hear the guy speaking again :D
all in all; great job for a compo entry. looked very polished (only needed sound effects)
This was an interesting puzzle that did some neat things, and the graphics are very polished.
