Do Starve by distributive

[raw]
made by distributive for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

This is what happens when you dedicate the first 36 hours to fine tuning the look of your game and rush the mechanics in the last four hours (UK time, so from 10pm to 2am).

It's basically Don't Starve, I think? I never played much of it.

Controls: WASD/arrows to move; left mouse button to pick up items and interact; right mouse button to drop.

I would advise not letting the fire go out.

Cool! I like the simplistic, intuitive crafting! Would love a sprint button.. :)
Great work!

Nice atmosphere with the sound design here. I enjoyed the crafting. A bigger map would have been nice :)

Interesting idea, definitely understand the getting carried away with art problem! I always seem to do that in jams and then forget about coding the mechanics til it's too late

Not bad, the atmosphere was really great. Music was nice, and the crafting was relatively intuitive. A sprint or run button would have been great, as well as maybe a larger goal -- it seemed like the only thing to do was keep the fire alive so once you figured out chopping down trees it felt like there was nothing else to do.

Nice graphics! The creepy atmosphere works really well.

The player feels way too slow.

Good job on your game :)

A cool looking game! The player is a little slow, and it was sometimes difficult to figure out what to do. The thought bubbles were a really nice touch though. I hope you manage to expand on this, it's a very neat idea.
