[raw]
made by senar93 for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Eggbert is a Puzzle Game in which you have to keep alive a mysterious egg untill it hatches. Evil wiverns (wtf?) are wondering in the map attacking randomly around them. Each turn you have the possibility to rotate one wivern trying to make it hit other wiverns but more importantly avoiding the egg!

:egg: PLAY NOW :egg:

How to play

  • click on a wivern and rotate it ( 1 each turn ) or skip the turn
  • avoid contact between egg and wiverns (both attacks and movements)
  • make the egg survive untill it hatches

Might want to add a .ZIP download, because not everyone has 7-Zip

Nice graphics, but it looks like the game is not working properly. I started from the fourth level (because why not: D). The egg broke down in the first round and I won after all. At other levels this is also an issue. You can lose only when the wyvern enters the cube with the egg.
The graphics and animations are sweet, so far the best of all I've seen here! Nice job, man.

I thought the gameplay was definitely novel! I also thought the graphics and audio worked pretty well, although I think that I have a bit of fatigue with isometric turn based games. I thought the level design in particular could use some work, but I could see a lot of potential around level design.

There was a bug, in the fourth level, I turned one of the wyverns, yet for some reason the egg died and the game just kept going. not sure why (i played levels 1, 2, and 4 when this bug occurred).

The animations are all around nice. This one made me think quite a bit. Definitely a 5/5 on the Innovation.

Concept is clever, reminds me of "Into the breach". Buuut the game is not working properly, sometimes they shoot from behinds, sometimes they keep turning. But the animation is great and with some polish it can be really good

A simple and easy to understand idea, but a cool one to play! It would have been great to see more levels, but what you have is nice. If you add different shaped levels in the future it could add a lot of interesting puzzling decisions!

I experienced a bug where I played the game TOO well, and all of the wyverns died and the game locked up. :(

A good entry, keep making games!

Quick reminder to get more players: Use a thumbnail for your game. Otherwise your game is presented with this grey box. Some great Games are not played because of a missing thumbnail ... You can still change it by editing your submission page :)

Damn, this one got me. I struggled a bit at first and got the hang after around 5 tries. Didn't make it past level 3 but enjoyed the hell out of the first 2 ones! Very well made and designed! Love the artstyle and the dragon shading!

Very clever puzzle game ! First I tried to move the egg from the dragon, so I lost several times, until I tried to click on the dragon x) I think that for the first level you should put an UI element to show where we have to click.

Otherwise, the graphics are really marvelous, and it goes the same for the animations of the paving stones !

The only thing that bothers me a little, it is the lack of background music.

Overall really nice work !

Moreover, I had a bug on the second level, indeed, I could kill all the dragons, then I was stuck forever in the level, and I couldn't skip at all, here is a screenshot of the issue:

A neat concept for a strategy game, surprised you got it all done within the jam. It's really robust and I had a lot of fun, I ran into the known bug on level 4, but I found it worth my time to restart and try the whole game again rather than not see it to completion. Nice work.

Very clean, tight puzzle mechanic.

It's a game where the objective and the controls are completely clear, and the challenge is just in figuring out the mechanics.

Really nice jam game! I wish there were more levels.

i really liked the artwork and the game has potential but it was WAY to easy with unlimited skips. I would make it so that you only get one SKIP per level or something. thanks for making it.
