It took me a while to realize I could shoot through the center core. The background music could use more variation to help keep the player engaged longer.

It's a pretty repetitive game, and the difficulty curve is pretty steep (though, it might be because it's suuuper early here). I like the game, though. One thing I particularly like is the fact you're rotating around the body. I know a lot of games in this style have you playing as the object in the center, so aiming there is easy. This gives it a bit more of a challenge, which I really like.

Really good execution of the theme! The art is very solid, effects and sounds are really juicy, good work there. As others have mentioned, it's a bit repetitive, but there's only so much you can do in 2 days. Great work!

I feel like the art, music, and design of the game itself go well together. As mentioned in a previous comment though, I feel like the background music could use a little more variation. I also saw someone say there was a steep learning curve, and I'd have to argue the other way. This game is insanely forgiving, there are so many layers for the enemies to get through that you can last a really long time even when performing poorly. The spawnrate of the enemies was good, I just feel like they could've moved faster or done more damage to your core. Overall, very well done!

yeah i made the music simple and small and put it in a loop to kind of match the theme a bit. but maybe that was a bad idea.

looks nice, i kept shooting enemies for a while and the circles energy was slowly drained.

Nice entry! good job :)
As mentioned above, I took one or two hits early on as I though I couldn't shoot through the core. But overall pretty fun!

This is a really nice modern take on Space Invaders. Love the art and the fact that every type of enemy is visually distinguishable. It was fun to play. I liked how the soundtrack further emphasised the topic by being a very short and noticable loop. The difficulty scales very well. All in all great entry.

The pace at the very beginning is a little bit slow. The pixel art is nice. Good job!

Pretty well executed shooter game. I especially enjoyed the visuals, the models are very good and the particle effects are perfect.

Of course one can only do as much as it is possible in 48 hours, but there should be ways to improve the ship. At some point (~150s) they are just too many and your rate of fire don't make it possible to kill all of them, so you can only powerlessly watch your defeat coming.

About the music, of course 4 notes in a loop (at least it matches the theme) is maybe "not enough"... But in my opinion, it's better than nothing. It always helps creating a more solid experience than no sound at all. And the sound effects were very nice too and matched correctly the visuals.

Nice entry !

Really cool visuals, good job! One thing i'd say is I feel it might have been even more satisfying if you can kill the enemies in one shot to push the clicker aspect to its full satisfying potential. It does get repetitive quiet quickly and would have loved to see a bit more attention paid to the game feel and some added player progression (power ups). However, well executed within the time limit!

Just right amount of game speed. Nice visuals and satisfying gameplay. There can be kind of power ups or sth. But nice game GJ!

That got hard very fast. Well executed idea i think. And cool graphics. Only thing i can say is or make your music loop a bit longer or add a mute. Because it got a bit monotonous after a while

Great game! Would have liked to see the gameplay involve more trade-offs. What does floating around the planet serve vs just staying in one place? Why would you ever stop shooting? Maybe something like rapid clicking for weak bullets or press and hold for one big one could give the player some way to create their own strategy. well done, SFX are great.

Nice game! Graphics is really good, music makes you anxious but it's a bit too repetitive. The game is quite simple, you can try to make it a bit more difficult adding stronger enemies or making them spawn faster.

Good game. I like the main mechanic, but I think it would have been more intresting if the bullets couldn't go through the little defence orbs, but instead would be affected by gravity and orbital mechanics. I love the simple but menacing music. That plus the sound effects plus the graphics are similar to an MSDOS VGA Ad Lib game, which is pretty cool!

If PS1 Space Invaders and Asteroid had a baby it would be this game, loved the retro feel of it and there was a great difficulty curve. There was a very literal sense of being on the theme, but it was a great take, just wished there was a longer sound track as it did get a little bit repetitive at the end.

I really like the particle effect. I do like the idea of using game time as a score metric.

Really liked this one - some sort of powerups to pick up by shooting would maybe be nice so that they player has to balance between shooting enemies and other things.

As it is the game is super simple, but it works and the level of polish is one of the best I've seen in teh compo in my opinion :)

Also it's nice to see other Godot games ;)
