Who Can Protect Me? by Dreamer

[raw]
made by Dreamer for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Hello everyone, I am a university student from China, I really like game development, especially discussing games with seniors from all over the world, learning game production, this is my third time to participate in ludum dare, this time the work is about Cyber violence, I hope our world can be more peaceful, I love ludum dare, I love you

Protect the heart with a sphere

Use the ball to hit the enemy and crush them

Move the mouse to control the sphere

W S A D to controll the heart to move

This game is similar to tower defense game, mainly through the control of small ball to defeat the enemy, not to let the enemy touch our heart. Secondly, there are three difficulties in the game. You can make your own choice. There are three props in the game: stopping all enemies, enlarging the sphere, and letting all enemies lose a drop of blood. There are two kinds of enemies in the game: ordinary enemies and sprint enemies

Words of praise can be blurted out, words of injury should be thought twice

Quite interesting, simple game but you nailed the gameplay. I suck at it , as it felt difficult after a short while on easy (cries).

Great gameplay! I do wish you had put a warning about the content. It's slightly upsetting.

@phibian I'm sorry to make you unhappy, but in fact, this kind of cyber violence happens from time to time, and I hope there will be fewer similar incidents

I like this a lot. The game feel is great and the powerups are very satisfying(the time freeze feels like a Stand power lol). Great work on your game. It gets pretty tough as it goes on!!!

As soon as I saw the game it looked a lot like the graphics from BlackThornProd. There are a lot of good tutorials in their youtube channel if you want to get into art, I guess it gives you more freedom since you don't depend on finding the correct assets and asset searching always ends up changing your initial vision for the game.

The game is fun. It took me a little to get used to the controls. Nice overall.

@rjerez192 Yes, because I do n’t have enough time and good art skills, so I chose Jam Group, and I also thank him for the asset in the game, because his asset style matches my theme

Cute, nice use of assets, would have liked a little more close control of spikes, unless I'm misunderstanding. I'm sorry for what happened to you, on the internet.

Really fun little mechanics. Easy to pick up, but the way you have enemies come in, gives it a lot of depth. Good job!

The music was wayyyyy toooo loud! The game play is kept extremely simple, but still very difficult to play. I've seen many games like this, so there wasn't much in the realm of innovation. But congrats for finishing a game within the 3-day deadline. We all know how difficult this is to achieve. Keep working on games, they'll only continue to get better. Good luck! :)

I really like the idea behind this game, it was fun, enjoyable and not easy!!! Controls take a bit of work to get used to, but once you're used to them it becomes fun trying to keep the heart from harm!

Nice game!! Simple and fun, and it gets very difficult once the scene is filled with enemies. Well done :)

Good game !
I don't think I'm the only one to find the game hard despite a simple game mechanic.

Nice post processing effects! I also liked the gameplay, it's simple but really fun.
For the music though since you did not make it yourself, you should opt out of the Audio category to be fair to others.

Trippy pickups. Good choice in music. Liked the hero and weapon art. The messages were hard to follow after a bit but was funny to occasionally read one in the chaos. Good job!
