Nice and simple concept and execution. Great balance between the melee and ranged enemies. It really makes you manage your spear :D

That was cute and neat game. I liked the ms paint art style alot xD. Would have loved more decorations to make it seem more like a village, but it is decent as-is. Overall a solid game. Does the job it's meant to, no more, no less.

It is a really simple game, but for what little it provides, it is well-designed to give you many options for how to play the game. Shame my playthroughs only last for about 15 seconds though

Hey, damn good for a first time. My first Ludum Dare I didn't even make anything playable! The risk/reward on the spear throws was a really good addition that got me trouble more than once.

Very good first entry. Seems too short to me though. Some sound would have helped alot.

This game is incredibly simple but a very good game for it. There consequence of throwing the spear makes strategy surprisingly complicated. In terms of gameplay, I'm not sure exactly what could be done to make it better - this works really well as a simple game. The only thing I would suggest is trying to add sound.

Nice work on your first jam! And feel free to fix the bug, it's allowed if you don't change the gameplay. :)

Neat! Great job on a first entry. Hope you enter again!

For Graphics, I'd recommend sticking to simple shapes and sprites if you're not an expert on making assets in photoshop. A little can go a long way. Here, for instance, I think the game could actually be improved with some really simple boxes and shapes instead of some of the higher-res assets you used.

I would definitely definitely recommend trying to add sound for your next entry. If you haven't done sound effects before, it's actually really fun to try and get sounds in, and they go a long way in making a real time game feel more polished.

Gameplay is really solid and feels smooth. Good job!

Got to score 13 :D

Lacks audio but I like the concept.

simple, a little difficult to fight as the spear throwing makes you lose your spear (until you pick it up again) and the attack has a long cooldown. neat game. Too bad there's no end to the bad guys and realistically, one-man-armies don't last long.

:D the game is fun and you did a really good job for your first comp. But without sound it feels unfinished try adding some to your next game ;)

Besides the lack of sounds, the game is fun. I'm feelling like a warcraft-ish troll! Add sounds and make this game great <3

Good, simple fun! The ability to throw the spear around added a nice dimension to the game play, because you had to manage when you needed it vs when you could afford to throw it.

Uploading a version to fix that crash would be fine - you're allowed to fix things like that after the 48 hours, so long as it's not adding any game play etc. It's good to update your game description to say you'd done that, though.

A few other suggestions, specifically about packaging up your game:

1. You should give your game (the download/executable) a different name - something like "ludum dare" is fine when you're developing, but isn't so great a name for someone who's downloading it along side a lot of other LD entries.

2. I'd recommend against packaging up the game in an installer. I don't know about Gamemaker specifically, but there should be a way you can package it so it's just something you unzip and run - again, makes things a bit easier for people who are going to be running and playing a whole bunch of different games.

I've got a score of 19.

Graphics were simple, the controls are hard (for me), but is still fun though...

Totems were funny XD and you cannot let them die :P
Good luck on your next entry!

Oh man, this game is tough. And awesome! I got a score of 58. This is one of those games that make you addicted. That is even without sound effects or music this game is a lot of fun!
Keep up the good work!

Now I found a problem, when you go all the way to the left or right and press space, killing a guy, you cannot get your spear back!
