Nice game! You really captured the atmosphere of a club quite well (sth that I can barely remember in times of corona). It was a stressful but rewarding experience.

Two minor nitpicks: Sometimes it's hard to see where you are (as its so dark), also the "tutorial" day could be a bit longer, I had to restart the game because I couldn't find all the minigames (maybe let the player decide when the first day should end).

Three different minigames for the 3 bars would have been great, but I guess you can only do so much in 72h . Best game I played so far.

I'm a classic gamer where if the concept is too much to grasp or there's too much to remember and it makes it more work than fun, then I just won't play it. And I can tell by @massassen comment alone there are going to be plenty more people who don't understand or won't give it a shot because it's too difficult. Just seeing the bar minigame alone and knowing I had do 2 other things while running that was going to be impossible to remember and do. Super sad because the concept is incredible and the art is INSANELY amazing. I wish the gameplay was a little more streamlined so it a more wide audience would enjoy it. Nice job anyway, I'm sure there'll still be people who enjoy it.

Really cool concept, was kind of confused by how to minigame worked at first, but I pulled through, managed to complete the game. I really felt like the music and the graphics were the strong point of this game though, rather than the gameplay itself, enjoyed it either way!

You have a nice atmosphere going on! This entry definitely excels at the "mood" category. At the start It was very confusing so more tutorialization would have been helpful. Good entry!

Really liked the concept although the minigame instructions were a little confusing to read at first with the text being a little too small. Vibe was cool with the lights and I liked the layout and that it was slower to walk through the crowds. Panicked on day 0 coz I couldn't find the lights room! Very sneaky aha!

Did get very repetitive though so maybe having three different minigames would be good! Had fun though and well done!

So good! I mean it's not very fair to compare it since this was made by 3 people (3 times my game lol) but still I've seen stuff with a bigger team and way worse games props to everyone the art is beautiful and has an awesome feel the music fits in very well (altough I heard a drinking noise at the wrong puzzle) and the game has some solid code probably not the most complex ever but it's solid. the only complaint I have is that you can't skip test phase

Awesome game!

edit: I also loved the detail that you go slower when you walk through a crowd

The artwork is really welldone and the comic strip at the beginning is a nice touch. Controls seemed to work well and i ddin't find any bugs! I wasn't able to find the "light" minigame!

I really like the visual and aural aesthetic, and the puzzles look cool... but I was immediately stumped on how to do the bartending minigame and ran out of time. The help images, while appreciative, weren't illuminating. Maybe a GIF next time showing the actions taking place in order?

Had to check this out since your take on the theme is very similar to mine. Great job! The visuals are great and the sound is awesome. The way the music changed depending on your location was a nice touch. I freaked out when the devil showed up in the bar... I thought the minigames seemed difficult to grasp, but I actually got the hang of it very quickly. Nice one.

Thanks for the feedback! Seems like I have stayed up too long to realize that tutorial in gif form would be much more intuitive. Now that I have rested, I have added some extra explanation. Hope it's clear now. Thanks for the idea :)

Congrats on submitting your game! I liked how you got to explore on your own during the tutorial and learn everything on your own. I had some problems finding all the tiles to connect but it worked out in the end! Fun game!

Nice job! I love the comic style and the club atmosphere. Maybe I'm bad on it, but the mini games are a bit too tricky for me and I cannot even survive the day 1, but the failure ending is funny:)

Liked graphics and audio a lot. I managed to survive day 2 in my second run, but day 3 is too much diffult, IMHO. I'm not sure the minigames maps are generated so there's always at least one possible move, are they? If not, maybe the best strategy on day 3 is to quicly enter and exit minigames until a possible match is available?

You did a really good job recreating the ambiance of a night club. I love the pixel art, and the audio is top-notch. The last stage is too difficult for me, but that's probably just me. Nice work.

Wow! This game is as extravagant as the club is devilish. I couldn't quite compare what being in a club is (never) but I enjoyed the pixel art and the 8-bit music (or is it 16-bit music? LOL) Fun little mini-game with sub mini games.

Cool game. It took me a while to understand how to play it, but had fun once I understood. I didn't like much the fact that the music was one sided sometimes. Overall its well polished and well made game!

What a creative concept! Some of the minigames felt a bit too tricky for my stupid brain :)

I think the 2.5D pixel aesthetics work well and contribute to the overall mood of the game.

Nice I like this idea! Really like the colouring used with the red there and the lighting. Really good work. I think the audio could have more of a club vibe with more bass etc, even if it is pixel and retro. I think the retro could have been pushed more that way. Really great job though, love the perspective.

Awesome! Took me a while to understand the mechanics (a typical match 3 would have made more sense imo) but once I found it it was fun! Also, the graphics and music are top notch, really awesome work!

Keep it up!

Loved the art style, and the music was really nice! I liked the minigame for the lights/bar/music, but it might be worth making each icon a bit more distinctive so it's easier to find matches more quickly. Other than that, really fun game, well done!

Minigames gave me some trouble. Sometimes they seemed not to perform as expected (for example, dragging a note and the name of music genre seemed to do nothing). I don't know if that was a bug or I missed something.
Duke
26. Apr 2020 · 10:44 UTC
I had grieve problems with the minigames. I wasn't able to make ANY points. The only thing, that worked, was removing tiles with a single click. I tried every combination with the dragging motion without any success. The Tutorial on the right didn't help either. I don't know if I encountered a bug or was doing something fundamentally wrong. This is really disappointing, because the game looks really cool. Loved the aesthetics and the pixel animations and lighting were top notch. Maybe you can look into the mini game issues. Seeing other people having problems as well, I might be a general game design flaw/bug.

Edit: I just saw the screenshots explaining the mechanics. Man, I didn't even recognize the upper part of the target combinations as a relevant asset. This is a easy fix! Why not make them both assets in the reference the same style? It's way easier to recognize it then as the target combination.

At least now, I can play it :)

Hey,

nice game as always! The graphics are really nice and in combination with the music and soundeffects the feeling of a disco/club was really well done.

I personally found the mini games quite difficult, but after a few tries I got pretty far into the game and enjoyed it very much!

Very nice pixel art. The mood of the party is very well done. The mini-game is interesting. I write
"mini-game" and not "mini-games" because the concept is always the same with different skins. I don't expect more for a Game Jam, of course, but if ever you will continue to work on it it would be nice to have different concepts. I like the idea that you are in different moment (the bar, dance-floor etc...) and you have to keep an eye on the whole party, not to be stuck in a place :) Congratulation to the team!

I completed the game. It was fun! I spent some time looking for the lights (I thought the path to it was a window), and I didn't understand what I was matching at first because I assumed it was a match 3, but the gif helped a lot. I liked seeing the devil appear. When I first saw the screenshots I was hoping it was a game about mixing music but that would have probably been too much for a jam. Anyway good job everyone.

Very nive game, but a little bit repetitive near the end.

It was hard to find the light minigame ( I also thought it was just a window). The mini game are difficult and I was just about to lose on the last day when the victory pannel shows up x).

This was a great concept. Atmosphere is nice and I liked the intro comic art as well as the in-game pixel art. I wish the same level of polish was met in the tutorial, as there was a lot of text that was difficult to parse at quick glance. The mini-game was interesting, not sure why the panels flowed upwards when you completed a match, rather than down for traditional match-3s.

Some other points of feedback: zoom out the camera more, it'll help us navigate the crowded space. Add some indication to the lights area, I wasn't aware that the path there could be walked on and took two playthoughs before I found the area. And make the "80s" "pop" and "hiphop" panels in the music minigame easier to see, I think there's transparency making it feel like part of the background.

Overall, I could see a ton of potential as it has pretty unique gameplay from what I've seen. Keep up the great work!
