Description

  • Cyber Tails (old -- Laser x Laser = Nothing, or Cyber Tentacles) -- Fast action game prototype, where you must destroy all enemies around you. What can you do?

Control

  • Movement from one corner to another (RMB)
  • Attack around you (LMB)
  • Attack breaks your movement
  • Attack richoshet projectiles of red bots.

Tips

  • Red bots killed after 5 ricoshets in them
  • after miss, tentecle bots sleep 1-2 seconds

Afterwords

  • Alright, i created what i created in this period. Just good luck! On start, I planned other gameplay more in mix of Tomb of the mask + Katana zero(with rooms, doors and etc.), but simplify this for time) But, enjoy it, if you can :)

  • Appreciate feedback and any ideas :)

Change log 13.10.19 - All bots are on 20% slower. - add new levels. Last levels with other map just for test. - Add skip level button. If you think that level very hard or want continue from specific level, use it :) - Fix all technical bugs what i found + a lot of refactoring - update webgl template for normal fullscreen

Change log 10.10.19 - Add mute button and lower music volume - Add html version. Now all can play... hope so :) - A little balance fixes, now blue bots have more chances to miss and can sometimes kill you in LMB spam(but not always) :) - change game name and add more tips in game

It look cool, but everything happens too fast to react. The best tactic I found was to spam LMB.

Okay. Very simplistic and fast paced. Sometimes its really hard trying to break those blue guy's ankles..in the end I resulted to spam clicking to win aha.

If you could make it slower, and add a click timer, it'd become more challenging, beyond just spam clicks! :smile:

The game seems cool, but you can easily beat the level if you get the first shot right and just spam it, as when you hit something you reset your animation and then you can do it again instantly... I'd put something to stop the spaming and making the dodge mechanic more needed...

But it's a pretty good game

Idea is pretty cool. But you need to find a way to make use of the jumping mechanic, right now it is pretty useless and just spamming left mouse click wins every time.

Edit: you also seem to be new here, so first of all congratulations on your first entry. If you want more people to play your game, you have to play other people's games. The more games you play the higher up your game will be shown on the games page ;)

Really interesting concept. The minimal, but still pleasing visuals compliment the quick gameplay nicely. More levels would obviously be nice, but given it's a jam game, the current level count is totally understandable. My biggest suggestion would be to add some more feedback doing good/bad, perhaps some sound for winning/losing the level and one for killing the enemies/when the red ones take projectile damage? All in all, a pretty enjoyable, distilled experience.

The movement of the tentacly-dude is awesome, unfortunately the game in its current state doesn't reward movement. As others have stated, just spam left click and you'll breeze through the 10 levels in an instant.
Still, trying to play more dynamically is not very rewarding, it's hard to time deflections/attacks against enemies, as everything is too fast. Slowing things down, adding discernible patterns to enemy attacks, adding more abilities like bullet-time or similar - and I could see myself play this a long time.
Overall nice job on the prototpye

intriguing game at first but over time you find out how to play it, although its art is simple and very beautiful, I believe the game is still easy, but with polish can become a very cool game for mobile

Game is interesting, but could you please leave a link to the original version submitted for ld? Rules state you shouldn't add new features after submission, most people will have 2 links 1 for their updates and 1 with only necessary bug fixes

Art style looks great (the tentacle rotation in particular is super cool), and I really like the concept, although the connection to the theme isn't super clear to me (it's quite late in here, maybe I'm just too tired to see it right now :sweat_smile:).

Once I figured out what to do it was quite fun to play, but sometimes it was tricky to tell if you've actually beaten the level or not, it would be nice to add more feedback there and delay the level change a bit.

The design and concept is cool, but you can just spam left click to complete the levels, the dash is not really well exploited

Thanks for feedback all.

@ithildin, Well, first, i think that player will start level without tentacles and he cannot attack without it. Start each level with nothing.:) So, he must survive first time of game and then kill all. I think that i have time for level design, room and long levels and other cool features, but i simplify more and more and in final create this :D

Yes, i know about it, but i cannot fix it as i want, because i need add new features. But you can try it with special build on windows, that you can find in description. Look for title Game with new features. Without LMB spam, and not so easily :)
