This is the tale of Cat Dad, a retired gunslinger that must return to his bounty-hunting days to sustain his son.
Duel with bad guys, feel like a real western gunslinger and follow an emotive story about Cat Dad and his son.
In Cat Dad Redemption, you must be always ready to react to the outlaws' movements before they draw their gun. Also, you must be precise so you can shoot them before they shoot you.
The game is divided in various levels and scenes: -Each level tests you gunslinger abilities, with an increased dificulty. -In each scene, a narrator tells another chapter of this intriguing western tale.
In Cat Dad Redemption, you only need to use your mouse to play (we recommend holding it like a gun in your belt). -Right Mouse: Rotate aim -Left Mouse: Shoot -Mouse Wheel Up or Dow: Ready next shot -If, for some reason, you get stuck, you can press R to restart the level.

The core game-play may be simple, but you really made the best of it. I always restarted a duel if I didn't get the bottle as well :)
But there's only room for one western game in this here game jam, partner....
It is a very fine jam game that shows that you can find simple mechanics that do the job amazingly well.

The narrative suits the game feel, the controls r nice and quite innovative!
I've tested it on linux running with wine, it runs very smoothly I can't notice any delay or anything out of the ordinary!

I LOVE IT!
It is fun to play (especially when handling the mouse like a revolver, awsome idea!), the music is just amazing, the narration is awesome, and funny at the same time, the art is great (the characters remind me of Night in the Wood's arstyle), what can I say more, I had a blast playing this!
Now, I'm off to avenge Cat Dad by putting this game on my favorite games list!
You perfectly captured the feeling of Fast cowboy shooting!
Normally I would've probably dropped a LD game where I had this much difficulty playing (the difficulty isn't a bad thing, I think), but it hooked me very well.
There's even all sorts of tutorials and menu/score screens and rolling credits, I can't believe it.
I was just expecting there to be a couple of levels built, but there was enough content to really explore the mechanics.

The voice over, sounds and music are insanely good. The sprites all have so much personality. The gameplay is simple to learn and hard to master, which is great.
The last 2 fights (well I think it were the last 2), were tremendously close to impossible.
Would have loved to experience the ending. Unfortunately the game did not finish after following level:

I like the way it is handled. it is a hard game. IDK if the game froze before unfinished but it seems like a bug to me.

nice and fun game. I like the cowboy theme as well (could anything beside cowboy works? IDK)
PS. I tried holding my mouse like a gun in my belt but then I remembered that I don't have a belt ;)
Also, several levels in the game got stuck after I defeated all the dogs in the level. It seems like several people here have had that same issue, so I'm not sure if it's an actual bug or if the game doesn't have a proper ending after that level. Still, this is one of my favorite games so far!
