Post-Apocalyptic Funk-Based Kicking Simulator by Gnarkill

[raw]
made by Gnarkill for Ludum Dare 46 (COMPO)

Play as funked out, dancey dude who desperately wants to keep the funk alive in a dreary, post-apocalyptic world where all has died except for you and a bunch of mad max type bad guys that starkly juxtapose our colourful protagonist. Score points by kicking enemies and stylishly dodging projectiles which, in turn, will keep the funk alive somehow...

Untidy, unfinished and theres no way to actually "win" it (enemies will keep on spawning) but this has been my first jam/compo ever and has been an absolute hoot. Been wanting to do this for a long time and feels good to share this, however am mentally exhausted...

Enjoy the game!

Since you're using Unity, consider web/mac/linux builds. Wine didn't work.

Also package it up as a single Zip so that people know what to download.

Loved the character dancing animation and the pixel art style. The music adds a great effect to the game and has a good balance of dodging and kicking!

That was awesome for a first game jam! It felt so polished. The graphics were playful and the theme usage was so clever. I really enjoyed it!

Good music and good sound effects!

This game made me smile, totally practicing my funk moves now, love the humor. More moves would be cool. Great entry for a first jam.
