You bartered your tribe's inheritance for a baby snake from a dream-whispering merchant. Unfortunately, the snake quickly outgrew your frail flesh and escaped! Rumors of your monster pet abound the kingdom, and knights seeking glory crusade for your slithering serpent's head. Protect your beloved pet by ~~devastating the crusade's morale through body blocking~~ placing treasure to lure dumbfounded knights to their deaths before they slash off its tail. Keep it alive with apples! And, for all that is holy, don't let it snack on you either!

Friend Limit is the first ever game made with a highly experimental gameplay framework I'm developing called Bicycle Mango. I spent most of the time adding features to the framework rather than making and polishing gameplay, so there are game-breaking bugs and it is feature incomplete (I'm not really trying to rank competitively this jam). I'm planning on fixing up everything and uploading a post jam version next weekend: I might even add support for proprietary OS ;)

I just haven't had time to try that yet: wrapping up Ludum Dare I was exhausted. I'm not using an existing game engine, so building for new platforms can take longer since I'm just using cmake.
