Space Marine 2020 by ytrewq

Description
You are a space marine who has boarded a rogue colony ship. The ship has been taken over by nefarious turret AIs, and to liberate the ship you must collect a series of keys to reach the control level. This is, of course, in space, and the ship is one of those loop ships that have been proposed for simulating gravity in space. So it definitely fits the theme.
Controls
WASD - Move forward, left, back, and right, respectively
Space - Jump/fly
Mouse - Look around
Left click - Shoot, menu select
Enter - Menu select
Credits
Credits? Hmm. I did it all. It was only me.
(The shotgun model is from 3dmodelhaven.com, and the engine uses SDL2, glew, truetype, nlohmann/json, tinygltf, nanovg, and stb libraries. Also shoutout to emscripten.)
Notes
- It should run in any browser that supports webgl2, but chrome seems to run it best.
- The engine isn't particularly optimized, and the webgl build less so, so it might not run playably on lower-end hardware.
- Yeah, the physics are pretty broken, had intended to replace the home-grown physics with bullet physics before the jam, but alas... easy improvement for april jam? ;)

Game jams are good opportunities for improving on skills. Since you're mentioning you've improved since april, then it's nice to see that you're making progress. Don't let comments discourage you and try to achieve your objectives of learning what you can do. Try to see in your free time if you can improve on what didn't work here and keep coming stronger and stronger in the future ones! 💪
Also, when it comes down to it, this isn't a really serious game, more of a proof of concept, so I'm not *too* worried about presentation and usability right now honestly. I'll definitely put real effort into native builds in the future, but yeah. I really appreciate the feedback, wasn't expecting this to get any attention lmao.
