Hostage Savers by ZER0-GAMES
this is my first entry to a game jam for LD46. When I was finishing up a level and refining the game. The code just stopped working. I reloaded unity and tried everything for like 2 hours to save the game but I could't so this is it for now.
This is supposed to be a prototype of a portal style game where you solve puzzles to try to save the hostage before she is killed.
Update: The Link Now Should Work. I have fixed most of the broken code and I am finishing up.
Controls: Move: WASD. Jump: SpaceBar. Sprint: LeftShift. Crouch: LeftCtrl. Portal1: LeftClick. Portal2: RightClick.
Credits: affax, portal, kenny and sebastian lague.

Hope you learned something from the experience and good luck for next time
- A menu always helps setting the player in the game, and could help you give some informations about the game, without asking too much dev time.
- You may need to change some parameters on your player controller to enhance the jumps (the player doesn't jump high enough) and enhance the sprint (move speed difference between sprint and no-sprint isn't visible enough).
- Add a simple quit button at the end of the game, to avoid forcing the player to press ALT+F4 :)
- Maybe try to add a few other levels ? You could use some cool mechanics!
- You could make the intro a little bit longer, we don't have enough time to see the hostage ! You seem to have made a 3D model for it, don't be shy, show your cool work :D
And that's it ! Congrats on your first ludum dare entry. It's not easy making a game, and it's even harder doing it in the short timelapse of a weekend. So yeah, CONGRATS, that's actually something really cool you did there !
I'm sure you learnt a lot during this gamejam, and that's super cool !
ya I had to finish it in one day because I spent the first 2 days working on it and then my pc crashed and my code and unity stuff got screwed up so I had to start over. So I had like less than 1 day to finish thanks a lot tho!
Great work and hope to see your game again next time!
It is a very ambitious idea for a short jam time co congratulations on finishing!
