This is my first jam game. It's honestly barely a game, but I would greatly appreciate any kind of feedback.

99% of the game's art is from re-used free assets. Credits go to: YoyoGames (used some of their free assets), opengameart user Parriah and YoyoGames user HereticGames.

Don't sell yourself short! This was a good play. I have to say the concept of using UI elements to move your character was different, but not in a bad way. Personally I hate keyboard controls.

I feel like you payed close attention to User Experience because I felt like I could pick up the game real fast despite no obvious explanation of controls. So good job there!

While the graphics are free assets, I still appreciate the art. Using free assets so you can dedicate more time to development is a skill in itself. It's one I can learn better since I tend to spend too much time designing the game instead of handling logic.

Overall, what a good first game jam!

The pixel is very good, but the UI is horrible :(
It needed 4 minutes to me to understand how to grab the items on the ground.
There is a lack of objectives also. We don't realy have a motivation to continue the game.

Picking up objects - since one can click on the object on the screen anyway, why force the other button click?

Regardless, game works, there's some obvious tradeoff in action choice. I would be curious to see where you would have ended up if you'd had more time.

The game is rather short and isn't very intuitive, especially with out any sort of tutorial to tell you how to play. But overall a rather cool submission.

At first I didn't like how much bureaucracy was implicit in moving the character and picking items up. But after some time of play, I feel like you could exploit this mechanic even further and make something great: maybe using upgrades to make some things like pickup automatic, discovering new features that implies more complex UI interaction, using all sorts of inputs (sliders, switches, wheels...).
