Save The Town by JaeLiinah
At 12pm tomorrow, the town is going to be destroyed. It's up to you, and your magic time Looping Thingamajig, to prevent such a fate. Get in there and Save the town!
Use WASD to move, press E to interact with people or things
This is my first time finishing a game!
I sadly didn't get around to making animations for the characters, and the game has no audio, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!

Great game, maybe freeze the players position when talking to people so you won't accidentally "move" out of conversation. I really like the idea and the atmosphere though. Good job!
Some bugs I encountered:
- After the first explosion, I was able to pick up the wood without being the maintenance guy (yes, I was stuck in a loop of following the red herring for a while...)
- After receiving money from Terrence in one run, in the pub I didn't have money anymore (happend ponly once, maybe Terrence's textbox interrupted before finishing)
- When asking Oscar for a rumor, I was unable to move away until I stated a new conversation with him that I properly ended
- Some shelves dont have collision boxes (probably rather unfinished business than a bug)
- as mentioned above; moving out of conversations is a bit annoying + I was not sure, if conversations had to be talked to the end to be recognised by your engine - it felt that way which was equally annoying while trying to rush through the 2nd, 4th, 7th run.
I hope this is helpful. Cheers!
There's a bunch of bugs with the dialogue stuff, Anytime there was a dialogue choice I had to freeze the player in place so that they could make their selection, and unfortunately this also meant that there's a few instances where I forgot to unfreeze the player or didn't think about things, like "what if the bartender ran off while you were frozen." And the way I had the triggers set up made certain things pretty janky. Especially getting money from Terrance, which only registered him giving you the money at the very end of the dialogue instead of the line that distinctly says he gave you the money.
As for picking up wood without being the maintenence guy, this was a choice I made, where anything the player character would 'know' would be carried over from loop to loop, such as knowing that they'll need the wood or the basis of magic thing, where as any item they picked up or anything the other characters would know will be lost from loop to loop.
I hope that gives some insight in what I was going for, even if it is still super janky!
great stuff. if you find an artist to team up with for a future ld, you would definitely be a team i'd watch out for!!
