CHARGER! by Symphonia

[raw]
made by Symphonia for Ludum Dare 46 (COMPO)

Find the charger to keep it ("your laptop") alive! Use the mouse to hover over the objects and click to check them. Use ESC button to quit the application.

Didn't really create much in the last few months, so I decided to create something super small to at least create something. Hope you have fun with it :smile_cat:

Cute and quick game. I thought your art was nice considering the length of the Jam. I wish I could have read the messages that appear after you click, but I was too busy frantically clicking everything trying to find the charger. Maybe the game should pause when you investigate a new area to give the player a chance to read the messages?

The game was not very fun, but the audio and art was great. I think it was not fun because all you do is spam click everywhere hoping that you find it. I think if you added a limited amount of clicks and some sort of visual to see where the charger was that would greatly improve your game.

Interesting idea, too bad that the frantic gameplay does not mix well with the funny text popups: no time to read them! It does adhere to the theme pretty well too.
Also there was no sound as far as I could tell.

This is an interesting concept. It is quite simple, but it would have been nice to have some variation on the environment. For example the kitchen area. Maybe some added audio effects and background music, they really can make a difference. Nonetheless, well done and thank you for making this game !

This was neat! I liked the intro and that the charger location randomized each time. Well done :)

This game has great asthetics! Gameplay is super simple of course but you captured the feeling of frantically searching for your charger really well.

Simple but cute! Fun art, I enjoyed all the sarcasm in the messages for the places the charger isn't, and I appreciated the randomness you added so it wasn't just in the same spot every time. Adding the ability to press ESC to quit is worth bonus points in my book--I've had to alt+tab out of way too many of these jam games lol

Unfortunately the first thing I clicked on to find the chrager was the plant!¬ I did play again after to read all the different text you'd put. Cute little hidden objects type game, good job for finishing a entry!

Well done for submitting something! I liked the humorous messages, and it fit very well with the theme. I didn't feel there was a lot of gameplay, it was very much just a game of luck with no skill involved even if the location was random. Maybe if you were to further improve it, you could turn it into a literal hunt for the charger, e.g there are different clues leading you on a treasure hunt for it
