PILOT

Your Ship is stuck in an endless loop and you are spinning out of control. shoot the targets to escape each level, but only shoot them once.

How fast can you finish each level? How fast can you finish the entire game?

See your NAME on the scores list for those AWESOME PLAYERS who are the fastest.

TIME

The game keeps track of how long it takes you to complete a level and how long it takes you to complete the entire game. My hope is that we will see some speed runs of the game at some point.

If you fail a level and continue, or have to restart a level, the time you played is still accumulated for your overall time playing.

Great job! The music, sound effects, and space loop theme fit really well together. I also thought the gameplay was intuitive after the first game over, since I could see the power meter dropping as I used it, and the targets stood out well from the background.

Since the Help and About sections are just placeholders, it might have been better to leave them out of the final build. I also appreciate the "get good" humorous text on the finish screen.

What a nice lil game! I liked that there was a nice simple control scheme and the game mechanics felt solid. Good job on the theme as well.

Awesome. One of my faves so far. Made it to level 9 (with the tiny tight loop). I loved the beam sound. Also, just generally felt like I was getting better and better as the game went along.

This was more challenging then it looked from the screenshots. There's a feeling that you're out of control at first but you can get pretty good at sniping the targets with some practice.

I was supposed to get some rest after the jam, but ended up playing through your game instead. Superb entry, well done!

Well, colour me impressed!

This is everything a Ludum Dare game wants to be: snappy, clean, effective and polished. Great use of theme, and a really fun time. As others have said before, SFX is delightful, and visuals read really well.

Fantastic stuff.

Proof that an extremely simple idea done well can make even the busiest person waste 20 minutes. Good job.

I got myself a chicken dinner! Loved the game, fun concept, good progression. I didn't realize I was wielding a pulse laser until level 3, which was a nice surprise. The pulse laser graphic is fantastic, which made it really fun to use.

In the later levels, it was a little frustrating not knowing which dot you can collide with, you basically have to die on each of them to learn. Also it was hard to plan your shots in later levels when the path became pretty big and criss-crossy, due to the animation.

@mike09123 Congratulations! You have joined an ELITE list of players. Yeah, the difficulty is ramped up on 13 & 14 but 15 is a little easier. With more time I could have tweaked them some more. Glad you liked it!

edit: Wow you finished it in under 10 minutes! Impressed!

Very nice and polished looking game, I love the pretty glowing graphics and I haven't seen this kind of game mechanics before!

It was quite hard for me to play, as quick reactions are not my strongest skill... I gave up on level 5 after about 20 attempts or so, but I enjoyed the visual look and I think it's a cool idea!

I **REALLY** don't like the use of short URLs (I assume you did it for analytics on how your links in various places perform), but it feels super shady.

To the game:

Fun skill game. I like the visuals and the music is fitting. The difficulty could increase more, the higher levels almost feel like "more of the same" with the small exception of the target being placed on the track requiring you to hit usually on the first rotation.

Also: Your scoreboard backend also accepts negative numbers. Toyed around with curl a bit, but finally reset my score to the ~6 minutes (387647 millis) I managed to get on my first run.

@pschichtel sorry you feel that there is something shady going on, but i have seen others do the same thing. thanks for the feedback on the game, and I agree that it was "more of the same", i simply ran out of time to balance them? there were also some additional fun features i needed to remove for time as well. not really sure how you got a negative score. and WOW six minutes is pretty AWESOME!

Great game! The game looks polished. Rotation was a bit too fast for me, making it feel random. Slower rotation would allow the game to be more difficult in other respects, making it less frustrating.

Enjoyable game. The gameplay was fun and required good timing. I managed to beat all the levels. It looks like some of the UI elements were not actually setup. I couldn't save the score after beating the levels. Overall the visuals looked good.

I really liked the idea, and graphics are nice as well. It was fun playing it though I found it a bit difficult to find the good timing, the rotation of the triangle was perhaps a bit too fast for me, I'm always bad at that kind of address game!
Nice touch to have a power bar too so you don't mindlessly shoot your way to the end aha.

That was really fun. It looks easy, but the high rotation speed makes it really tough. Level 13 and up were confusing though because the player seems to die when it touches the balls, but only sometimes? I thought it was only if you were shooting, but I still found myself dying even if I didn't shoot. An in-game text that explains it would be helpful, but otherwise the game was great. I couldn't beat level 15 tho... :(

@ale Thanks for Playing, and yes, all the "targets" will destroy you if they are "grey". If you activate them "green" they will not harm you. In hind site I would have made them all GREEN to begin with and then turn them grey to make it seem like they are disabled. Hope that helps.
