About
I took this LD to learn Threejs and I had a lot of fun with that. I am still working on the game, and I will sometimes post updates here or on bird.
Run around, see some biomes, break some stuff, throw some sticks, kill some enemies, get some gold. Thats about it for this version

With a bit of finess, this'd make a fun mobile / multi-player game.
Whenever I LMB clicked it kept selecting the text - if you do a post-dare version, I'd maybe do it within the canvas and not as a separate HTML element ( same for the scrollbar on the inventory to the left )

Add some pictures to your post and your game dude, this should get way more views!
I think the respawn part (where you need click to make your own character) really fits the theme.

And good to see you are still using js for LD
Thank you for the game. I liked it a lot!
Nonetheless, it was a neat procedurally generated game, nice work!

For others that can't run the game and see just a black screen, try switching browsers. I couldn't run it on Chrome, but Firefox did the trick.
There wasn't much to do, but a post-compo version with more content would be great. This is an entry I'd want to tinker with.
the character is cool, the universe is simple, no weird textures.
the movements are very dynamic, so it's not boring to move.
great minecraft-like
if you keep developing it, i hope you will choose totally different paths so it's not a clone :)
If somebody is experiencing "seeing nothing but black screen and fps counters" troubles (as @shinmera reported), I believe I figured it out. Ablockers, or rather script blockers, may be the cause. Probably not all of them but certainly the one I am using (uBlock Origin). After I disabled my uBlock, the game run with no troubles.
I played web versions of other jam games with no trouble. So I am speculating (it is pure speculation, mind you) that there might be something about this Three.js you are using here that uBlock (and presumably other script blockers) just hates.
The FPS was great, so was graphics, collision was smooth, and sticks chasing the player because I run too quickly was hilarious. I'm amazed all this 3D stuff can be done with Javascript though :open_mouth:
