i don't know what to feel anymore by omnikrll
it's like minesweeper. click around to find the goal. hearts indicate you are near the goal. no points are awarded and the levels go on forever.
pure html/css/javascript. almost all audio is synthesized on the fly via web audio, except for some sampled SID chip noise that plays at the end of each level.
it runs fine in chrome and firefox on osx. it's a little buggy in safari, and i haven't tested on windows or linux machines. if you're on a laptop i recommend using an external mouse rather than a trackpad.
this might be more a sound art piece than a game? idk
the fm synthesis operations can get pretty ๐๐๐๐๐ and ๐ช๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ป๐ฎ๐ผ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ so volume down if you're sensitive to ringing tones
tools used: - sublime text 3 - cynthcart 2.0 for the SID noise, running in VICE
made at Babycastles in nyc

Honestly when I was trying to come up with an idea of what to do for this LudumDare I thought of something quite similar.
Interesting concept, good job.
It's a cool experiment, and I applaud for trying something new. I do think it's a little too minimalistic, and the one that that makes it interesting (the audio) wasn't very strong, either.
Oh, and hello, fellow New Yorker! I...don't live anywhere near NYC, but hey!
Biggest complaints about my game have been the sound, I need to do something better next time. I'm not sure this is it though :D

I didn't realize about the hearts or even the goal when I played at Babycastles so I didn't realize it's a game right in the dead center of the game alignment chart
