When I was rating other entries I found at least one other \"2D cross section about plant growing where you grow both below and above ground\" games. Apparently a lot of us had the same idea. As for the physics, I'm actually not using any library. Each stem segment is just a Position, Angle, and Length. Angle has some default value assigned at creation, and then fluctuates on a sine wave. Length is static (once it's done animating), and Position is determined based on the result of the parent's calculation.
