First of all the music definitely fit your game pretty well. The rest of the game there was a good look to all of the art that you used and was a decent platformer. I couldn't actually manage to beat the game after a whole bunch of attempts only because the hitbox on the character makes it really easy to die. Very contra-esk with the amount of hits you can take and the fact that it will bring you all the way back to the beginning of the game. It's a pretty challenging game, but I appreciate all the hard work you put into it.
