Dungeon Escape by Thorn
This game is a small infinite runner game. The character is stuck in a loop such that whenever he fails to escape he wakes up back at the start with no memory of how he got there and once again tries to escape. Enjoy!

I really liked the pixel art animations.
The furthest i got was 4000, would love to know what your highscore is :D
For the next LD have a look at Particle Systems, they would really spice up those flames.
Solid entry!
Pixel art was simple, but got the job done. I particularly liked the sliding animation! It was a little bit jarring that different sprites had different pixel sizes (the main character was really "blown up" compared to the fireball and dungeon). A lot of times games will try to keep one consistent pixel size throughout, but not always.
I think the slide felt a lot more responsive than the jump, which was good for the slide. I think it would help to increase the speed of the jump a bit, so you have less situations where you jump too late and still get immolated.
I know you used other people's audio, but the choices you used were good ones and fit the vibe.
Great work for what appears to be your first Ludum Dare, and hope to see you more in the future!
The graphics are kinda all over the place - the main character and the background are in totally different styles, with the character being very minimalist pixel art but most everything else being much more detailed. I liked the main character's animations, though - I would've preferred it if the whole game's aesthetic was in line with him.
The game worked fine - though it could've used some more time in the oven and something to make it unique among the many endless runners out there. Looks like this is your first Jam - good work finishing something!
