Bathala is a top down wave based survival game that takes place inside the temple of Bathala. Your goal is to protect the statue of Bathala the only problem is you have no weapons... Not to worry though the temple is full of debris and ancient relics, I'm sure you will figure something out. Have fun!

Nice little game, it's working without problem and it is pretty fun :) however there's a big lack of feedbacks, no audio at all, so I had to figure out by myself what my actions were doing, the game was not telling me. The game is pretty linear, there's nothing to do excepted wait and throw items. At some point I found a kind of a machine gun, so I only ended up firing my enemies until I lost. Maybe fixing those little bugs could help you having a much better game! Keep on working on it :)

Thanks for the feedback @saering. There's definitely a lack of feedback. Unfortunately we just ran out of time. An extra couple hours could have gone a long way haha.
We're hoping to work on this further outside of the jam and the first thing will definitely be audio and some visual feedback!

As mentioned by others, some feedback would really help with the feel of the game. I really like the concept and artstyle though; I quite enjoyed running around trying to find things to throw. It's a good start for something.

Lack of audio hurts with how simple it is. I'm also not a huge fan of the monsters all stacking up and spreading out, it makes the lack of audio or visual feedback on hit even worse. Looks decent, but the gameplay's just not there.

Nicely polished game with some cool art! Picking stuff up and throwing them at the enemies is pretty fun, wish there was more variety to what you can throw. Maybe add something like a score system and maybe make it so that the main character can also take damage to up the intensity of the game. Flower shot OP as heck though.

Thanks for all the feedback!

@ectucker1 I'm glad you enjoyed throwing stuff haha.

@ketura I hear what you're saying. Audio is definitely at the top of our things to add outside of the Jam.
As for the Desecrators (the monsters) stacking up, I'm not the best with AI haha but I'll do what I can do to fix them

@d5r I'm glad you liked it! We originally planned for the player to take damage but just ran out of time. It's definitely on our list of things for after the Jam though!

@tinglight not quite sure what you mean but I'm glad you liked it haha

Great idea with beautiful art, but maybe the enemy's movement path is too monotonous, maybe it would be better to let them come from all directions instead of overlapping into one path, and maybe it can be added some more props like bricks to be in the enemies' way? In all, the mode is nice and have great potential.

Nice little game. In addition, some sort of end game would've also helped a bit.

It's pretty similar to what we had! I feel you on missing the extra day though. That's the day we added sound to ours so I get how much that can add to the end result :)

Solid entry!

Nice art, both ingame and the cover image!
Pity you didn't have time to get sound in, that would have helped a lot.

For feedback on mechanics:
- Once you get the purple speary orb, you probably don't ever want to pick up a rock or jar again. I found that I sometimes misclicked on one, and ended up dropping my orb.
- Would be nice to have a display of what wave I'm on.
- The enemies stacking was a bit confusing, as it made it difficult to tell if a hit connected until they unstacked.

Very nice concept! I love this kind of mechanics where you can interact with the environment and use it for combat. Would like to see more of this game. Great job!

Neat art, the gameplay needs some fixing on collisions and picking up stuff instead of throwing your magical spears is annoying at times too, but overall nothing that can't be fixed fast and would result in a fulfilling minigame!

Great art, decent take on theme, rest of the categories lacking. Anyway keep it up.
