Nilux by psychonull

[raw]
made by psychonull for LD36 (JAM)
Nilux is the operating system that enabled Egyptians to build such architectural masterpieces over the centuries, thousands of years ago.
Explore the world, gather resources, enslave innocent people and build imponent constructions to be remembered as the best ruler ever!

---
Built with JavaScript using the jQuery terminal emulator lib (http://terminal.jcubic.pl/), babel, redux.. check out the source for more details.
It's not polished nor complete as we wanted, but it's playable somehow.

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description. (you can already find several games from the jam there)

You got my attention at the Interjection!

RamessesII plus Nilux seems to be too easy though - just sent bunch of slaves to bunch of campaigns, set "vel 1" and soon got quite a lot of slaves that could be sent to more campaigns, soon got quite a lot of resources etc. Soon started to send gathering campaigns with so many slaves that they ended before automatic "current" command was executed :P

So I tried to play poorly and lose, but I couldn't :D It's now in the background tab at year 1000 B.C. waiting for Christ to born :D

Was fun to fiddle with the console though, liked the execution, and all the little nods made me chuckle ;)

@dos thanks for that comment man! we definitely need to tune it cause we didn't have the time for it but we are thinking on getting some sugar in this game for next ludum. ;)

Wow. The use of the console was interesting. I loved this kind of games but the interaction in this one was awesome. It has a lot of potential
