Closing the Loop by Frederika

[raw]
made by Frederika for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

When I saw the theme, I thought about when getting stuck in a loop is a beneficial thing, like a circuit.

Neat idea, wish there were more circuits.

I liked the view on the topic but it would be really nice if there would be more levels. If you would have had more time you could do some nice puzzles with that!

I like the theme interpretation. Its simple, but could be a good educational game, especially for teaching kids how to interpret the circuit diagrams you have on the left. Would be good to have more levels, and also some opportunity to make mistakes which the player could learn from (Like putting LED in the wrong way or something). Nice one :)

I like the interpretation of the theme (my friend and I did a circuity game too, but took a lot of liberties with realism XD)

Core of this is good - lots opportunity for variety with other levels like harder levels not having the proper diagram for reference or having parts that won't actually fit with the proper circuit.

I think a good way to expand on this idea would be to have levels where each appliance needs a particular voltage to run. That way it becomes a nice puzzle game.

I like the base mechanic and the potential behind the game. Unfortunately, the lack of content doesn't really bring the best out of it yet. It sounds like either the circuit mechanics were pretty difficult to program, and/or there just wasn't enough time.

Nice take on the theme, I agree with others that this could be a cool educational piece of software. I'm not sure how to make it more of a game, since there's really no fail-state. Would've loved to see more circuits with more complex parts.

i think it was less fun and more educational. at least it works! could be a good foundation to build on for more complexity.

ngl I had a lot of fun but wanting to do more with it. Reminded me of playing The Incredible Machine game from 1993 https://www.myabandonware.com/game/the-incredible-machine-1mg/play-1mg man I loved this game growing up! great work at pulling my heart strings :)

Nice idea, just wish there was more to play. You could definitely create some cool and difficult levels with more pieces and stuff. Good job!

I'm definitely envisioning a game where you get to learn more and more about circuits with each level when playing this!
