Too bad you can't vote on story - so gave you a 5/5 on mood instead!

An extra hour spent on polishing would have gone a long way, but it was minor things considering the gameplay.

Very creative play on the theme!

So good! Interesting that you seem to go faster left and right than you do down, speeding up vertical movement to match horizontal would possibly make this a little more enjoyable. I can't believe how much content you managed to fit in and a really unique interpretation of the theme.

Controls were a bit funky, but easy enough to get used to. It was a very touching story, however, and I'm glad I got to help an old lady fondly recount her recently deceased husband

I love it. The controls are a bit clunky, but the game has sweet vibes.

I really liked this game. The writing was great and your take on the theme was excellent. Collision was a bit funny though.

Interesting theme and story. I like the pokemon inspired artstyle. the controls aren't very intuitive and a little uncomfortable to play. I don't like that clicking skips the dialog instead of show it completely. The gameplay needs some polish and a better implementation, but a cool project overall.

Very cool way to go about the theme. Liked the art style as well. The item interactions were a bit frustrating, but in the end got my wife to remember me. Good job!

The controls we quite confusing to me. I couldn't tell which option was highlighted on the start menu and accidentally quit the game the first time.
When there's text playing and I click, I expected it to jump to the end of the text and instead it closed the text box so I missed the second half of the text.
Various quality of life improvements would make this game much better. I had a hard time concentrating on the story as I kept fighting with the controls.

Agree that controls confusing, but that's just nice to have. It's first story-driven game that I see on LD and I really love that

Wow this is awesome. I love these story-driven games. No need to make complexe gameplay when the story is so catchy. Keep it up! Cant wait to see your next game.

This was such a sweet idea! The music was also really cute and fit the game well. I liked that you chose a limited colour pallette and the simple art was nice. 1 thing that really let down the game was the inconsistent artstyle.

![inconsistent art no words.png](///raw/e29/c2/z/3289a.png)

The art itself was nice but there was different sizing on things.

So maybe ive spent way too long on this feedback but i made this to express better what i mean:

Hope this helps!

Cool graphics and music! good color scheme, nice storytelling and level, me and my girlfriend wept! level is full of interactible elements! I think that bad end is not a gameover! It would be another end, main hero can show, that wife should keep on going and live! pixels are unsatisfying, pixel gaps on connected rooms looks bad. Try to draw whole level in one sprite sheet, or set snapsettings on pixel size and hold ctrl to move things!

Interesting game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/Xpc46Nkubiw

Emotional game  Very nice art, and good dialogue. I enjoyed finding objects and seeing what my wife had to say about them. Giving story as a "reward" for playing the game worked really well. Unfortunately both times I played my wife ended up getting stuck somewhere (her sprite stopped moving), and she wouldn't pick stuff up anymore. I'm not sure what I was doing to trigger it, but it seems to be a game breaking bug. I enjoyed playing while the game was working!

The music and colors of the game are very cool!
I really like the idea.
In the comments above, people mentioned the different size of the art - I also drew attention to this)
During the game, it bothered me.

Captions and narratives are very sweet. Cool!
