LEGION by crunchykingcobra
Somewhere in the depths of a high-security base, a 4th dimensional being escapes and takes control of the nearest body. It isn't enough - it wants more.
Speed your way through the base collecting bodies. Dodge bullets with inhuman reflexes. If you get hit, a body will drop, but you have plenty to spare.

The concept of an incorporeal being who collects bodies was intended to tie in with the theme of 'start with nothing', although it's a bit shaky I know.
The game is currently Windows only, but I plan to port a html5 browser version after I fix a couple bugs.
The game will restart if you die, and at the moment is score-based. If you have fun please post your best score in the comments.
This game was created in Gamemaker Studio 1.4.
I have included the project folder to the game.
Software used:
- Gamemaker Studio 1.4
- Beepbox (sounds and music)
- GraphicsGale (sprites)
- paint.net (additional sprites)

The music, the graphics, and the gameplay are all fantastic and come together to make a great creepy atmosphere.
If I had to nitpick, an explanation of the score multiplier might have been nice, and the ending was a little anti-climactic. Anything other than an empty room would have been great, even just getting out of the facility to the outside world...
But these are both minor complaints. This game is really impressive.
My high score is 7400 points :)
Great work!

And really, collecting bodies that way felt just so strange and surreal. It was awesome!
