Bloody Baron by Jegus9
A detective text-based adventure, based off the Werewolf/Mafia party game and influenced by Among Us and the Danganronpa series.
You're in a building with 9 other people, and one of them is a brutal killer. Don't get caught by them, and use your abilities and your logic skills to solve the mystery and vote the right person in the trial!
The way I decided to implement the "loop" was as a series of events that repeat: you can explore and talk to people during the day, and either hide away or risk your life during the night, and those events will repeat until you either get the killer executed, or you lose the game.
Obs: I couldn't write some of the characters' profiles because I didn't have enough time. I hope you can read through what's the general story about by just reading the ones that are available.
UPDATE 1: solved some breaking bugs tonight (4/10/2020).
UPDATE 2: fixed a crash that happens during the trial voting sometimes (5/10/2020)
HOW TO PLAY: download the executable and run it IN YOUR TERMINAL. The whole game happens inside there. If you find any bugs or have suggestions please don't be afraid to bother me!

- game got stuck when voting for the first killer, wouldn't accept input.
so yeah if you can definitely guess the killer by pure luck, but using abilities and exploring during nighttime are supposed to be the optimal strategy.
If you choose to expand this game then I would love to see more ways of finding out the killer as it was kinda luck at times.
Great job though, its been a while since I played an enticing text based adventure! Well done!
yes if you don't use your abilities well or at all, you are left to your own luck. but *some* abilities are pretty useful in finding out who's the killer.
for example, getting Night Owl (Odette's skill) lets you walk around at night and not be instantly killed upon meeting the murderer, and Pick Lock (Amanda's skill) lets you check who's in their room and who's not when you're in the Inn Hallway at night. i *believe* that the optimal ability is to combine them to safely find out who has been up to shady stuff during the night.
John's (Perfect Bluff) is also pretty useful in trials, if you have a suspicion on who's the killer.
Haha it was great!
I had lots of fun playing it! 👍
but i promise you it doesn't do anything shady
maybe you can try and use WSL to execute the linux version? that might work better
