I didn't quite understand the theme... Don't @ me.

(Also, you can move the camera with the arrow keys if needed) (Btw, I don't intend on anyone on completing the game, so don't mind if you cannot complete the game)

Nice game! It seems really hard to complete the 100% because I played for several minutes and only got around 3 percent. The music was great and the idea itself has a nice touch. I mean - who wouldn't like to make a puzzle?

You were really able to take a simple idea and turn it around into something novel and addicting. It's games like these that make me awe at elegant designs. I love when the rules of a puzzle are so simple, yet the solution takes great care and thought to accomplish. I could see this really taking off into a full fledged game. Nice job!

This is a really good puzzle game! I'm not sure how it fits with the theme exactly, but it's loads of fun.

Fun puzzle game concept! I wish there was a legend or an easier way visually to identify which colors can connect with others without trial and error (on selecting a piece, highlight the ones it can connect to maybe?). Tiles that could affect others would be a cool additional mechanic as well!

@marcio-miranda There is a legend that shows all possible color combination. You can find it on the right side of the letter shown at the start of the game. :3

Another way of knowing if a color can connect with another it's to look if the two colors are analogous colors...

Looks to be some screen size issues? No worries, I had trouble with that too which is why I just made it downloadable file where I can set a static screen size :joy:

The game is an interesting concept. I would've like to be able to rotate the puzzle pieces, but I have a feeling that was an intentional constraint?

Also echoing what other's have said, it's too long to complete. But i'm sure given more time that could be adjusted. I'd wager 99.9% of us didn't make the perfect game, hell even my game ends abruptly haha.

All in all nice accomplishment.

Fun puzzle game. I like simplistic art style. I am not quiet sure how it relates to the game jams theme. I could not remember what puzzle pieces go together. Maybe make some visual way to see what colors go together in game. Also why do you have to get 1131 puzzle pieces together to win the game. Would not that slow down the web server.Maybe you should make it out of 100 because people do not tend to like to play a game jam game for much then 5 minutes. (These are just my suggestions).

Cool at first, but it's too long

@isayneigh Yes, that looks like a screen resolution problem. I didn't have time to do a custom sprite, so i did the letter with what i had and attached all toghether with ducktape, and not really tested for other resolution besides the intended one.

For the progression bar, when i let my friends playtested the game they said things like "the game was fun, but i feel a lack of goal" so i made a progression bar to add a "sensation" of goal, but I didn't really intended on everyone on completed it (in fact, i don't even know if it's possible to do it... XD)

@play-pause-games I would love to add some sort of special tiles (and even some accessibility settings to help colorblind people and people who struggle to remember the combination), but the truth is that at the moment nothing comes to my mind when thinking on what can i add to spyce/flavor up the game... We'll see after the jam, but i don't promise anything...

Wow, I like the idea here! Remembering the colors that can go together is tough though, so if you plan on doing more work on this, I would suggest having the chart displayed on the screen somewhere to help. Also the 1131 goal is a whole lot. That would probably take close to an hour to do, which is asking a lot :)

Overall great concept, cool puzzle game! And with some more polish this could really shine bright!

Interesting idea, I found it a bit weird that I couldn't rotate the pieces (unless I missed it).

I think what would have made all the difference would have been a series of "levels" or challenge such as reach this spot with a blue piece, have 6 red in a row or anything that would give a sense of achievement rather than this open ended mode.

It took me a while to get the color-combos remembered, but once I did I was on a roll! I would have liked to been able to rotate pieces though.

Woah... That's a big goal! I don't think I'm going to be able to make it to that!

@codexus Splitting the game in mini missions/challenghes, rather than one big progress bar (which backfired terribly 😅) It's acctually a great idea. Personally i quite like the "oepn ended" mode, because i find it quite relaxing, but i can understant why some people don't like it, so maybe i'll split the game in two (or more) modes: One "Story/Mission" mode, and one "Zen/Infinite" mode

@no-grapes-games I was thinking to do something like Chromagun did for colorblind people, adding little shapes to help not only help colorblind people, but help whoever struggles to remeber the vary color combination, but maybe a togglable graph it's the better solution. I'll think about it...

Also @codexus, @jelch the main reason why you can't rotate a puzzle piece in the game at the moment it's because i think otherwise the game wouldn't have enough challange to be fun. But i can also see that it's a highly requested feature, so maybe i'll add it as an easy difficulty.

--------------------------------------------------

Talking about difficulty, the original gameplay was much harder than the current normal one, and for everyone who wants to try it, it's still in the game as the "hard mode" (You can find proof of his existance in some screenshots). What i'm curios about is: Has anyone yet found how to unlock it, and maybe play it?? (Of course, i will not tell you how to unlock it, it's something I'd like to see find out for yourself... ;D)

Interesting concept, but very complicated to pull through (My max score was like 10 pieces). It seems to me like you need to get lucky? (Or I am just not good at it :P). Maybe less colors would make it simpler.

All in all is well done and implemented, good job! :D

Nice game. But it's quite irrelevant with the theme. Ability to rotate the tiles could be better. Repeating music becomes annoying some time later. And game is too long. Some more information about the matching of the tiles may help. Good luck.

This is very cool! I think that it needs more polish to be more user friendly, such as keeping the key accessible to the user while they play, but other than that I had a good time. I'll keep an eye on this and see if it goes anywhere :) Also, I got 2.83%

@bulent-altinay At the start i have planned to do a game where you have to keep a conservation "alive" in a game like dominoes, where you have different topics (the colors), and different types of approaches (the side of the puzzle piece), but then i had to scap the theme entirely because i figured than otherwies i wouldn't have managed to complete the game in time, and swapped the dominoes with puzzle pieces bucause i liked the sprite more (and they were much easyier to develop too, so i'm glad i did that...).

So, yeah, the game (sadly ;C) has nothing to do with the theme. Fortunately for me, unlike some other jams, the theme was not mandatory to take part to the jam!!!

@multiplexor The game it's a weird mix of randomness and strategy\skills. The main random fact that pretty much defines the outcome of the run it's the starting piece, but generally if it has less then 2 flat side it should be fine... The amount of colors are designed to balance each other's and i don't think i want to modify that, but thanks for the suggestion...

I got to 3.36%.
I like the pure puzzle concept, but like others have mentioned I think it would work better with preset goals in smaller levels rather than random (seemingly) endless pieces.

Está bueno el juego. Considero que es muy largo. Aunque para matar el tiempo sirve bastante bien. Podrías poner algún que otro objetivo, o que cuando llegás a cierto porcentaje, conseguir un comodín o algo así. :D

Nice puzzle. It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. I got to 45.80% before getting tired of it and quitting. The puzzle is just too big.
The music is nice but gets repetitive rather fast. The available pieces are really hard to see against the backdrop of already placed pieces, it would be much better if they were on some kind of tray.
