In Roundabout Rowdy you play as a rowdy driver that is stuck in a roundabout. Your goal is to create as much destruction as possible while being stylish at it when cruising your rounds.

Controls

  • WASD: Accelerate, steer & brake
  • Space: Brake

Gameplay

You control a rowdy driver in a small roundabout. From the four corners, various vehicles will enter the streets. Your goal is to take out as many as possible by crashing into them or using other means. Ramming other vehicles from behind will minimize your own damage. Try not to wreck your own car!

Additionally you have to maintain your rowdiness, so you have to drive full laps every now and then. The timer in the middle indicates how much time is left for you to complete the next round. Don't miss a round or it's game over.

Destroyed cars will sometimes drop Power-Ups which you can collect to heal or gain special moves.

All assets and resources have been created ourselves - with one exception being the fonts (LEMON/MILK and COMIC KINGS).

Very cathartic game. It doesn't take long to get the hang of the driving and then it's a lot of fun and hard to put down.

It's surprisingly fun to play. I like a good game were I can simply have fun and not worry about anything else. The music and graphics are on point! I liked the selection of vehicles and the UFO. You could further develop to have different types of powerups and different vehicles to drive and it would be even better. Congrats!

This was such a fun game to play. You hooked me with the 3D low poly start from the thumbnail, and the game didn't disappoint me once. I like the physics of the car, you need to get a bit used to it, but once you know it is really fun. I felt really pleasing to push cars on their sides and just let them burn down.

The most fun moment for me was the rocket. At first it surprised me that you could get this power, but after hearing that sound, damn... It made me laugh so hard. The humorous 'psheeew' got me good, like one of you just recorded your own voice trying to make a rocket sound. Overall a very fun game to play, it deserves a lot of ratings👏🏻

I love it, the core gameplay was great fun and the special events (like the pink limo) made it even better! Also props to whoever did the vocal "sound effects" :joy: Well done!

One of the best games I've ever played from a game jam. Amazingly done. At the start I thought that going round the loop was all there was to it, but nope. You continued to surprise me with querky things like the claw that grabs broken down vehicles, cops chasing you, awesome powerups (Kinda wish they had a longer duration), spaceships and a fricken disco limo! Like it was honestly just something else haha, really nice work 5/5 on everything for me. <3

It's simply pleasant and fun to play, and that's a great achievement for a jam. You can just feel how polished every aspect of the game is. Great job, definitely one of the best games I've played so far.

Where should I start? Is an awesomely polished game with lots of content, and just made in 3 days! Is really fun, the mechanics are well defined and the controls are so simple, the special events were a nice touch and having the bar moving when going the other way around was a nice feature, this has to be one of the most polished and fun games I've rated. The police AI being so aggressive reminded me of good old GTA, and the physics are just on point. A well rounded 5/5.

I like the idea very much and the cars remind me on a 10min-modelling-challange on YT :-P. I now follow you on itch, rated the game on itch and it is the very first game I've added to an itch-collection. Do I've to say more?

At the beginning I did'nt expected the game would be fun. But it is! Because it's more challenging than it look. I like the concept even if it's a very simple use of the theme (loop is not so present). The idea of taking time back while making a complete round is clever. And even if the control is not so easy it's very clean. That make the challenge fairly. The art is nice but Audio would be welcome to have better immersion. Anyway. good job!

One of the most enjoyable games in this jam! Super fun and a surprisingly large amount of gameplay elements. The time limit could be a bit shorter imo to have more of a challenge.

Had a lot of fun with this one, then my game ended unexpectedly on the 41st lap. Best death I've had in a game A+. The trees are still dancing.

The gameplay feels really fun. You really can tell that it's not meant to be serious!

I went around a few times, thought 'cute, I'll drop it in a moment' and then kept going as more and more twists appeared. Great implementation of a good concept. The intermittent drifting limousine is a good way to keep the situation shaken-up, too.

I had a Ken Blast playing! I think I got a pretty high score, but maybe not The Top score. I told myself "Don't Stand So Close" when too many flaming cars were on the road. Had to make sure they didn't Spitfire at me or it'd really be Killing My Love of my current streak. The game was great, some real Sun In The Rain, a real Ace! This could signal a Nuage for racing games! Definitely a Go2 example of fun gameplay, really felt like a Speedy Speed Boy. I never let up on the gas pedal, was at Max Power the whole playthrough.

I may be getting a little carried away here. But for real it was an awesome game!

Wow, cool game! And very polished. :thumbsup:

I enjoyed the funky music and the awesome graphics. Funny way of removing broken cars. The UFO was also quite funny, and at some point the trees starting dancing! :open_mouth: Controlling the car was felt a bit funny to me, but I got somewhat used to it after a while.

Interesting way of moving the finish line when you drive 'backwards' over it. Having to complete the roundabout once in a while gives a nice flow to the game, and I also noticed the time intervals drop when you get further, that's a nice way to make the game gradually harder.
