You are Frankenstein's Cousin. Surely you can do better than him? You collected body parts, stitched them together and prepared everything. Now you have to wait for the next thunder storm.

While you do, make sure, that Frankie (your creation) is not eaten by flies and other critters. Grab your mighty fly swatter and get on doctoring!

Hahhaha funny game, it never occured to me that i would be sweating flies off frankenstein :D I loved the sound effects and music, art was very fitting, difficulty was adequate, gameplay was fun. Solid game, good job! A little annoyance was that dead space between character and splatter.

That was the most entertainment when I wack using "flybitter" on the wheel

Fun game. I liked the concept. I had a bit of difficulty with the fly swatter though. When you use it, there's a gap between you and the fly swatter where nothing happens which makes things harder than they should be. By level 3, there were so many flies it was impossible to keep up. But keep working on this :)

Solid game. It had a good difficulty curve for me. I had to redo some levels, but I still managed to complete it in maybe 20 mins.

I liked the variety of critters and obstacles too. You would be able to create many more levels with just these mechanics without feeling repetitive.

Solid entry, you have created a lot of levels and elements, the wheel with the mouse is a little bit op and make levels much easier but globally you've managed very well the level design and the difficulty progression.
The music is very good and your frankenstein monster is neet.
I died on the first level with electricity and i've been respawning in the next level, don't know if it's what you had planned ?

@Solweak: Oops, now that's a bug. Saved you a lot of annoyance though, so let's call it a feature then ;)

Loved the concept. Really funny idea.
Execution was great too. Varied levels and different types of challenges around a solid gameplay concept.

I got a bug that when I died (my character, not Frankestein) I would skip the level. Unfortunately I ended up not being able to play the electricity levels since I died in each one lol

Congrats!

Very creative idea! Took a while to get the hang of but is quite fun once you do. Also very well made. Great soundtrack and sound effects.

I hade really fun with this one! Impressed by the many different features implemented. Took me a while though to understand that you could charge the hamster wheel additionally by holding down.. the upbeat music was a plus! Gj

Really fun! I enjoyed having to swat the individual flies, made it really interesting. As a heads up I think I found a bug: after getting fried by the grates, clicking "try again" instead took me to the next level.

The game is really funny but there are some gameplay mistakes i think for example why we hitting with CTRL why not space?

Nice entry, really enjoyed it! Has a really nice sense of progression and clear goals and I'd keep playing if there were more levels. Graphics are simple but charming and I loved the music.

Oh man, it's like the Dark Souls of fly-swatting games! The way that swatting locks you out from moving or turning for a moment, combined with the way that there's a dead-spot between you and the swatter so you can't get TOO close, really made for a challenge!

The music was great at increasing the tension and the whole game did a good job of making me feel frantic. Well done!

Cool game! It is very hard though i retried level 3 like 10 times. I have no idea how to deal with the nests :D. The swatter feels a little small to me but appart from that great execution on the concept and nice level design.

Wow, very good game. Found the controls confusing at first (didn't notice the change in the controls in the bottom-left) but got them pretty quickly. One major problem is that sometimes I'd fail a level and "try again" would take me to the next level. Also, there was no ending :(.

Fighting with flies is an awesome idea I never thought of. This is perfectly fit for the keep it alive and the background is interesting. It's difficult to me that I cannot control the swatter well and I stuck on level 3. I also like the soundtrack. In all it's great game, well done!

Nice entry! Really complete, it was a fun game, although some particle effects would be appreciated, like sparks when the mouse run, it took me some time in understanding what was happenning there.

Great game :)

This is a cool idea and a good game! I found myself quite enjoying it for a bit. The audio combo (especially the soundtrack) was great too! Overall, reasonably good mechanics. I did find it hard to aim and swat flies and the hives got a bit hard for me. I would advise working on the aiming and reach of the fly swatter (maybe even divide Frakie into a grid for easier and clearer aiming). More polishing is needed in this area. Menus and all work well! Overall good job!

@endurion Great entry! I loved the humor, the game fits the theme 5/5, and it's an impressive amount of level design for just two days! I think the music fits the crazy reanimator theme weirdly well. I also liked the randomness in fly behavior. Also, what's the "hidden editor"?

Stuff that can be improved:
-Swatter control is a bit uncomfortable. The gap between player's body and swatter, and the granularity of movement together make it harder to swat correctly.
-The lag between killing all flies / dying, and the menu popping up is a bit too large - I'd just almost instantly flash the menu.
-Those fat not-flies sometimes get stuck in place.

@battlecat Something tells me you didn't energize the mouse wheel on level 3 :)

There is a lot of great going on here, from the concept of keeping the flies off a corpse, to the morbid humor surrounding the whole thing (including smacking rats with a flyswatter to get them to power generators and things). The variety of obstacles and enemies, and number of level challenges is amazing in such a short time.

I also personally liked the art style here, as it's reminiscent of a lot of hokey DOS games and aspiring to make something that hits a personal nostalgia nerve for me. Normally, I don't like having to download a game, but the art alone got me past that feeling and I'm glad I did it.

There are still a few negatives to this: the controls for the flyswatter are pretty unintuitive and feels hard to predict where the swatter will go, which makes it way harder to hit flies on the table than it should be. The hitbox for the electric floors is way too huge, where the player can still be hit even in places where their body is nowhere near the panel. There is also a bug where some "Try Again" buttons will just skip ahead to the next level. The second to last level also feels like it needs a balance pass, as it was sheer broken AI and luck that was the only reason I won finally.

However, I really love this entry and hope to see more!

The "hidden" editor: Click to the left of the quit button (there would be two buttons between play and quit).
There's the editor with almost usable details.

And all others, thanks for the feedback!

Solid entry, since you put on a lot of work with a real level design with an increase of difficulty, a good music and a funny game/gameplay. The drawbacks for me are the sprite animation which stay in place when you stop moving, an idle sprite would have been great and the controls are a bit frustrating since you can't hit and move at the same time (even if it can be voluntary to add difficulty), but that is some details. Anyway great job !

The music was very catchy and the game got my adrenaline rushing which was good. The game mechanics were simple and easy to understand. For some reason it took me a little bit to figure out that the control button was the button named "ctrl" on my keyboard.

Hahaha! Great setting for a fly swatting simulator! The music was great, and the art was well done, but ctrl on my keyboard wasn't working for whatever reason, so I ended up losing.
EDIT: Nvm, I just hadn't picked up the swatter.
