Summary and Controls

Restore the Rainbow to it's full colour in an infinitely looping tower of enemies!

The game ends if you complete the rainbow - so try to get as high a score as possible before you complete it!

Be careful though, if you get caught by an enemy or speeding wall, you'll lose and have your score set to zero...

[A]/[D]: Move Left/Right

[SHIFT] + [A]/[D]: Dash Left/Right

[S]: Smash to Next Floor

This is a fun infinite tower; I like that the choice to go for the high score is up to you. The music is standout, it felt like it went really well with the game itself. I also liked the ever increasingly difficult enemies as I went downwards, that added just enough of a touch of variety that I wanted to keep going just to see how hard it would get. The first run I played I thought that just spamming s would be the clearly winning strategy, but as I found out that more often then not just landed me next to a moving enemy, who ran straight into me. This game was a lot of fun, and a well-executed take on the theme, well done!

One of the few games so far that I've truly enjoyed. At first I was a little confused about what the objective was (forgive me for skimming the description) but once I figured it out it's very cool. Everything is great. The music, the fluidity, everything. Awesome job, well done.

Great game! I like the colors, they provide a good way to motivate player goals in the context of gameplay. I think it would be better if you could change the text to always be oriented upright, some things I missed because the tutorial was sideways.

Wow, this is a great entry.

Easy to learn but hard to master.
This was amplified by the score system where you as a player are put before the choice: do I take that last color now or do I go for another round of increasingly difficult levels just to have a higher score.

This would make a great mobile game for some timewasting.

Great job on this game and thank you!

I would love an infinite mode so I can see how many rainbows I can get. I really enjoyed it, and I kept wanting to go deeper, but the completionist wants to finish the rainbows. An infinite mode might let you do both.

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Great music and sound effects. The motions on screen when drilling were pleasing. I made the incorrect decision of drilling straight down about 6 levels right away and was met by a moving wall "avoid at all costs" haha. After a few rounds I got the hang of it and enjoyed hopping around collecting the colors. Great work!

Wow! I guess I played it like more than 10 times. Trying to spam down and going for the greedy approach gave me loads of score (38 on the last try), but I never managed to complete the rainbow that way xD. Feels very balanced for a compo game (Jam games are hard to scale over time imo, so hats off to that). Seems kinda simple at first, but it felt very fun and relaxing to play (easy to restart and keep playing). Good work!

Nice and responsive controls. I like the tension between getting higher points and the safety of finishing early.

This game was so fun to play. The first thing that caught my eye was how cool it felt to use the drill and the smash mechanics, especially when you destroy enemies with them. I really liked the overall atmosphere and feel of the game, the music and sounds were great however it would have been nice to have an option to lower the volume of the sound effects. I like that getting a high score isn't necessary to complete the actual game, but if the player chooses, they can attempt to get one.

Very nice. I can't properly describe what the game feels like, but it was like it was trying to get to know you and be your friend. Mood 5/5

Otherwise well done. Great job!

Just wanted to say that the design here is really clever, very good risk reward system with very simple rules. I think there could be some minor tweaks that could create more interactions:
- Having more than one ledge per floor.
- Drilling to the sides let you jump over a ledge so you don't fall to the next floor.

Maybe none of those make sense, just went through my mind while playing and I wanted to share them with you.
Nice job!

This game was incredibly satisfying and relaxing to play. I love the concept, I'm not entirely sure why but it reminds me of Paper Mario. The controls are intuitive and easy to get a hang of, especially with the quick built in tutorial. This was a charming game, great job :)

I enjoyed the chill vibes of the game including the audio and graphics style.

Feels like a small design flaw to be drill-dashing towards an enemy near a fall line, be set into the fall state when colliding with it, and then be vulnerable and killed by said enemy. Might have been better to ignore the fall line while drill-dashing?

Maybe I miss the point though, and it doesn't really matter, because I still had a lot of fun!

This was fun i liked how you should dig deeper in order to get a higher score but your progress was not reset you just had to complete the remaining colors. Awesome work!

Super easy to get into with an easy to grasp and fun to play concept which fits the theme perfectly. An interesting idea with the drilling, maybe that could even be expanded on somehow..?

Also great easing into the game with the tutorial directly where you actually apply it, it's great that you invested time into this!

Very nice effects with the particles, character bounciness, colors and sound effects fitting great into the whole rainbow mood, I really like what you were able to put together here!
