Meditative small game about a small girl...

--en--- Initially, I was making this game for "compo", but by the evening of the second day I realized that I won’t have time to finish the music. And without musik it's too boring, as for me.
Therefore, I decided to go into jam, and use a track made by * Noplan *. here is a link to his channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Noplan/featured

The controls are responsive, the music is decent and the graphics are neat. Just a bit unclear at the beginning and I feel lack of a final objective, but the game is addictive. Very good job!!
I liked the idea of having points with a purpose for once in a game. The idea of having points give you extra energy/jumps is so simple yet brilliant since it makes you WANT to get points. The music and graphics are also very well done. Id say the jump is a little too short, requiering the need for jumping that is too precise. Its a minor gripe but one that can lead to a lot of frustrating deaths. Also, I would not allow the player to jump before the bricks actually go over the spikes. Having the the "click to jump" message right there invites the user to jump, only to be punished. Its an ok decision to teach how death works but spikes seem to only be an issue at the start, as the red blocks are a more pressing and constant concern. Overall, good work, minor complaints are just that, minor. Solid effort!
Great job with the sprites and the background; very aesthetic.
I think you could benefit from reducing the RNG element. Maybe have a set pattern, so the player can get better over time.
However, once I got the hang of it, I was immediately hooked and didn't stop playing until I had the 20/20. Really fun game
My main point of feedback is that it is surprisingly hard to learn what to do. I tried several times to simply keep jumping in midair over the spikes, as the platform hadn't shown up yet. I had no idea there would actually be a platform to stand on until I died multiple times and decided to wait a while after the game booted up. It simply takes too long for the platform to show up for it to be obvious to the player that there will be a platform at all.
I think the way I would fix that is by not granting the player control until the platform is on the bottom of the screen.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed it once I figured it out. It was particularly fun to pull off a jump in between two red squares. I did find that recovering after I got hit was kind of hard, because the screen flashing red was rather distracting. But I did manage to get something like 60 points?
I also think the systems that give you extra jumps and health are not very clear. But it didn't matter too much because it was clear enough that getting points was the goal.
Overall, nice arcade game with a very unique atmosphere.
Once I figured out what to do it became pretty fun.
My only issues with the game is how it teaches the player. You make them want to tap straight away, which kills them off. Think about how best to rejig the beginning. Also, your game's design is focused around letting the player die in order to figure out the game. This isn't too ideal so if you can figure out a better way of teaching the player that'd be great.
Other than that, one of the better games I've play this LD! The graphics reminded me of classic arcade or Megadrive titles so it had that nostalgic hit, and the gameplay was simple and fun. Really good job on this game!
Overall, I really liked the feel of it and with some minor gameplay tweeks it would an enjoyable little game. Great job!
