I really want to play it because of the screenshot. It looks interesting. Unfortunately I can't get passed the melon on the first dialoge screen. The "OK" button doesn't do anything.

Update: Pressing "Spacebar" lets you move on! Thank you @slavi

Feedback:
Great concept with some funny dialogs, also the setting is quite unique. I would have never thought of a Melon god. I appreciated that the player was a dodo.

I got passed the tutorial and the first level but couldn't beat the 2nd level. The controls seems a little out of sync with the music. Maybe it's just the feel of it as you basically skip to the next frame instead of a transition. Overall interesting concept. Needs some improvements with controls and animations and you have a full game.

Nice little platforming game, took me some time to get used to the controls but it worked well enough.

It's difficult to rate this.
I had the same problem as MrMaico. I couldn't get beyond the first dialog

This game has some problems with unclear instructions, weird moving text bubbles and text coming out of them and overall a bit janky controls but at least it's funny.
If you have trouble getting past any screen, try pressing spacebar, it worked for me.

I don't know if it's just my PC, but the music isn't synced with moves at all. Overall, pretty nice idea, just work more on graphics and better controls.
I like the tree BG btw :)

I did get past the first watermelon but the game later froze after entering the black box thing.

Interesting lil platformer! Had a tough time getting through to the actual game, some notes:

- Don't move text dialogs up and down, it makes them very irritating to read
- Make sure that mouse-interaction works (mouse left click seems to restart the entire game?)
- Seems like I have to start the jump movement one step before I actually need it
- Hard to understand/see how dashing works

[Thanks for submitting your game to the stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/780628065?t=03h36m24s)

I think I pretty much covered all of the feedback I wanted to give in the VOD, but just a few recaps:

- The audio doesn't seem to sync how I would expect it to. I got used to it, but it would be great if I didn't have to.

- I wish I didn't get sent immediately to nighttime land every time I failed. I feel like I wanted a few more tries before I had to get sent back to the slower tempo.

- The levels are a bit difficult and long, and I worry that that will scare away a lot of players before they see all that your game has to offer. Might be worth considering making a smaller, more focused game for next time.

ALL OF THAT BEING SAID THOUGH, I think what you guys made here is super cool, and it's especially impressive as y'all's first jam entry. I feel like y'all will only get better the more you do this kind of stuff, and I wish y'all the best of luck!!

There's as lot of character in this game, but the gameplay needs some work. It's kind of hard to tell what the movement keys do exactly, as there's a lack of visual feedback. The level moving on it's own, obviously also makes this rough to tell.

The backgrounds are really neat looking as are some of the platforms and walls. Unfortunately it wasn't always obvious what certain obstacles/objects are suppose to be. The textbox was very hard to read at times dues to the movement and watermelon texture. Maybe try decreasing the opacity of the watermelon texture or making the whole textbox lighter.

There are some interesting ideas going on in this game, just needs some more time put into it.
